6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

I work the next 3 nights (fun Memorial Day for me), so I will try to pop on. My mom arrives Monday (yea!) for 5 days. Unfortunately, my dad is on business in Puerto Rico and can't come. Have a great holiday weekend, y'all!

Since you guys are much more verse than I in excursions, we had planned for the six of us to do the trolley tour via DCL ... it is much cheaper on your own? We did this tour in D.C. and LOVED it!

Thanks

go to trolleytours.com; they do tours in DC too! Less expensive than DCL.

Kids free need to be under 4 but they offer a discount on ages 4-12.

You sound like Ben. He is working 12 hr shifts on Sat & Sun and then evenings on Monday and he is on call all weekend. But I have to remind myself that it is "ok" cause we will be vacation in just 3 weeks. ;)

That's what I keep telling myself too (plus it'll be Time and Half for holiday pay! :thumbsup2) I work this Fri/Sat/Sun night, then next Fri/Sat/Sun again (had to trade to work in vacation for the cruise), then Wed/Thurs, then Sun/Mon/Tues... sleep on Wed and head out Thursday am!!! :cool1:

11 shifts until my cruise! :dance3:

Ok so yes it is the little things in life that excite me. I have to share why I am so happy right now.

When we booked our planes tickets we used points to pay for one of the tickets. Well for just 3,000 more points we could get a 1st Class ticket instead of coach. That meant that we could check in 3 bags weighing up to 70lbs each free of charge with the 1st class ticket. So we were going to use the 3 free suitcases plus 4 carry ons so we did not have to pay anything extra 4 luggage.

My husband is the BIGGEST cheapskate ever and I was able to convince him instead of carrying on 4 suitcases to pay the $30 each way and just check 2 bigger suitcases!:banana::banana: I know it does not sound like much but this a BIG breakthrough for my husband!!! I am soooooo doing the happy dance right now. It is hard enough with 2 small kids and all of their junk let alone 4 extra suitcases. IMO it will be $60 well spent! :thumbsup2

In his opinion...I should have smaller DIS gifts next time! LOL :lmao:

I'm counting it down like that too :lmao:

We are doing..

Key West - Fury Parasailing... my 3yo does not stop asking when we are going to do it. She thinks it is not until the TA next year! LOL

Grand Cayman - Boatswain Beach (Turtle Farm)

Cozumel - Nothing, we prob won't even be getting off the ship

Castaway - Just enjoying the beach

For the website I am not keeping track of who is going on what meets...just who was staying where before and after the cruise. Let me know who needs to be taken off the radisson list.

No you just have luggage tags to get your bags from the airport to the Swan. Those are the same tags that will get your bags to your room when you drop them off at the port. That is as exciting as it gets!

I think the only person not actually stayin there is triplefig, but not 100%. It's no big deal Nikki and I were just being curious about the number of DIS'ers staying there, no worries we were just trying to figure out who we might see there, but it's no biggie cause we will find out in 21 days!!!!!!!!::banana::banana::banana:

Good morning, everyone!
Heading to Tampa and my first Busch Gardens trip today with a group of Middle Schoolers!!:scared1:

Hope everyone has a magical TGIF!
