6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

You did good today. :thumbsup2

Yeah- I agree that's alot accomplished.

My MIL picked up Jordan from school, so Steve and I went to Applebees and to Walmart for some last minute trip stuff. I also got a new IPOD, so we gave Jordan my opd one, and had to add a bunch of songs on it. That took all of my time tonight. I needed to pack.:scared1:

I hope Jordan doesn't think she will get tooth fairy money for her crown coming out. LOL

That reminds me of when Rob's first tooth that had a crown on it came out. It came out when he was at my mom's house and they called saying his tooth "broke". After he gets home and I look at and the opening, it turns out that it was the whole tooth. The part left was actually his new tooth coming through the gums. :rotfl:

I wonder if that is what happened. mmmhhhh..... I guess we'll see tomorrow.

For anyone that is going to WDW before or after the cruise, have you seen the new Characters in Flight hot air baloon ride. I think we might do that- it looks nice. I believe it was $16pp/kids 3-9 $10:thumbsup2

They must have decided to try it again as this came today directly from the Disney TA Website. It sounds like a great idea for the kids and adults! Let me know if any of you try this onboard and your thoughts so I can pass on to my clients.....

I will try it for sure!:thumbsup2

We have late dining and I am so thrilled about this for DS 12! He hates to wait for his food, so the quicker, the better for him! Then he can go off to Ocean Quest. DD loves the dining experience and we are dining with another family who also has a 14yr old girl. By the way, Nikki, DS turns 12 tomorrow and we went out to Best Buy today and bought him the i-touch for his BD. I get his old i-pod! :rotfl2: Good thing we have similar tastes in music!

Hope he has a great birthday!!!

Got a voicemail from DCL inventory control. They upgraded us to a category 8 on deck 5. I'm just worried about being able to notice the motion more being up higher (we were on deck 2) but I'll take an upgrade anytime ;)

Right now, we are still planning on cruisin' unless Dh's dad's situation worsens.

Congrats! What Cat did you book originally? And I am praying for your FIL and hope you can cruise.

Good morning everyone (almost down to single digits!) and happy Wednesday!

Today is the last day of school!:teacher: Yippee!!! Thanks to all of the teachers out there in the world who take care of our kids all day. :cheer2:

For anyone hoping to upgrade at the port :sad1:... there are only 5 available cabins posted right now on the whole ship so pickings will be slim, if any at all. Sometimes the Cat 9 folks pay to move up to a verandah, opening up the 9's to inside cabin folks, but this isn't likely to happen since the sailing is now officially almost 100% sold out. I guess all of the deals they offered really worked!!

FE gifts- bagged, tagged, and DONE!!! Kids and DH helped me put them together this am. We had an assembly line going!

Best highway to view from (don't want to get tied up in traffic at the space center), what time is the launch, are there any websites with details.
Thanks! :goodvibes

She should probably inform the driver too!!

For tickets to see a NASA launch, please refer to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex website at http://kennedyspacecenter.com/special-programs-launches.aspx. The tickets go on sale six (6) weeks before the launch. If the website shows sold out you may want to call their main number, 321-449-4400, to see if they still have any availability.

If you are unable to obtain launch viewing tickets the following are some of the most popular off-site locations for launch viewing:
• Along the Indian River on U.S. Highway 1, especially in Titusville.
• The Bee Line Expressway, also called State Road 528. The portions of the Bee Line crossing over the Indian River (the Bennett Causeway) and the Banana River are good vantage points.
• Off State Road A1A along the Atlantic Ocean in Cocoa Beach.
• Jetty Park (321) 783-7111 at Port Canaveral, on the Atlantic Ocean just south of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station border. Both Space Shuttle and expendable launch vehicle liftoffs can be viewed from here. The park is open all day year-round. There is a minimal price for admission.
You are encouraged to frequently visit http://www.nasa.gov for the latest NASA news and information. In addition, NASA invites you to consider using one or more of the following easy and convenient communications tools for receiving NASA Updates on the exciting work NASA is doing.

Awww, I'm getting so excited. I've been talking about it with the girls everyday, what to expect with the plane ride, bus ride etc... (they are 2 and have been on a few flights, but it's nice to review.)

Someone mentioned Characters in Flight at WDW. What is it? how do I find out more?

Thanks,
Shannon

Thank you!!!! :worship: I haven't had a chance to research anything about it - busy planning post cruise vacations. We'll try and watch it from one of the off-site locations! DD is helping DS pack as we speak. Two bags for 2 trips - one for band camp on Sun, and the other for the cruise/WDW/Baltimore/Ocean City MD/NYC trip!!! We keep adding days to our vacation!:yay:

Hey! I had originally booked category 12 and was upgraded to a cat9 on deck 2 and now Cat 8 on Deck 5.

Thanks for the prayers. The Hospice nurse seems to think we will be fine to go ahead with the cruise. He is doing well and still feels like going out to eat and church, etc. so unless things go downhill before, we are going.
