5th Park inevitable ?

If they can build Magic Kingdom on swamp land they can build others as well. It's 2019, if a sheik in Dubai can make private islands in the middle of the ocean picture what Disney can do.

Not even remotely applicable.

Long term feasibility is a good discussion to have and I probably agree, I'm just throwing out an idea. More likely a new fully realized park will have multiple lands and themes to to. I have no idea what that would be though. I'm not trying to be creative here. It's a better question for another thread though.

Regarding vacation habits, you already have Disney promoting hopper tickets with all packages, and you see them creating better transportation options. I suspect the only way they build a 5th gate is if they see a drop in attendance and a rise in attendance to Universal. So a 5th gate will probably have better transportation so you have people park hopping easier and more often. You already have packages that give cheap ticket options once you hit the 5 day threshold. I think they'll just want to keep people on property at all costs. You'd need marketing data to see if a 5th gate would get people to come down longer. What is the average stay? 4 days? 5 days? I see a lot of 4-5 day promotions. Why not make it 6 days? People with better data have better answers. I'm just speculating.

I agree on 18 numbers. I can't wait to see them. Want to make a bet on them? :rolleyes1

On the theming, I know. I think it's a mistake. In any case, working on that context, I would retheme Sunset at the very least if that portion of the park receives a new land. Maybe part of Echo lake too.

I'm in if others are allowed to play in this dream scenario.

Multiple lands based on the cities/locations of Pixar movies. (limited by their 1-2 movies a year for future growth).
Alternate Worlds park - similar to SWGE, but a variety of lands focused on their major acquisitions - Lucas (SW, Indy, etc.), Xmen, Avengers (that can be used), etc..
Seven Levels of Earth (water, dessert, rainforest, temperate, mountains, tundra, air/space). Attractions based around IP from each zone.
Origins - combination of villains and origin stories of various characters that are important IP's, but not necessary the star characters.

Space near the parks

Magic Kingdom - has room on the left of it, near Frontierland
Epcot - has room on the other side of Epcot Drive, their would have to be a walkway that goes over the road
Hollywood - has room on the other side of World Drive, again an overpass walkway would be needed
Animal - seems to have the most space on the right of it

Look at the build-able sites plans from Reedy Creek and you will see that many of the still build-able areas aren't really near existing parks (although one is near the Transportation Center). I',m sure they could build in other areas, but at some point, the cost to do so may not be worthwhile.

You know I'm not one to speculate ;);)…. but "Roaring Rapids" I've heard would be the main ride in Australia. Its been called a combination of Everest and Kali.

Disclaimer: Everything I just mentioned is not guaranteed to happen. For now at least it has just been discussed behind closed doors.

That would be pretty cool, I saw some vids of the Shanghai one. It looks a lot like Kali, but vastly better with more to look at. The large gator in the ride seems to be a good balance between what is a real creature and what is... BEASTLY.

Are you saying that the centerpiece of the park would be the old Dragon Tower?

Certainly would need to be something "night" friendly like Pandora.

Yeah, I wonder if they could do some kind of fire/lava show. They definitely couldn't do fireworks because the animals would freak and think its the end of the world.

Yep, but more of a dark volcanic mountain than the original concept of a crooked castle. Kinda like the mountain in disneysea, but vastly darker.

What would the IP tie-ins be for the new AK park? There is no way Disney builds a new park, or even major attraction without an IP tie in.

I don't know, it's still early, but I've heard "Dragon Empire" and "Onward" mentioned as possibilities for the Dragon section.

I can't wait to see what the synopsis is for Dragon Empire. They haven't said much, except that it is about an Asian Female played by Jamie Chung who has a 900 yr old friend.

I've been hearing some juicy stuff about the Fantasia section. I don't know if I should say it, I've already probably said way too much.

Alright you dragged it outta me

I’ve been hearing that Fantasia will have 2 main attractions. One of them being the Fantasia boat ride and the other one would be “Bald Mountain”, a rollercoaster or water ride based on one of the most famous scenes from the film. A little village and its inhabitants sit below the mountain unbeknownst to what lurks within it. Chernabog, the main antagonist is a large gargoyle-like demon who lives within the mountain. He eventually emerges from the peak of Bald Mountain where he is perched. From it he summons many dark creatures like demons, hags, and harpies that visitors will come across on their voyage through the caverns.

Whoa, I don't know if I can do this one let alone my kids. It does look like it could be very scary, but absolutely exciting. I guess I could brave it if my wife twisted my arm. Plus I don't want my kids to do chicken noises at me.

Holy Toledo, judging from the video Bald Mountain could be really creepy and scary and …. some other word that means scary. I don't know if Disney would actually go through with making it. It looks like it could create an "Alien Encounter" level of fear among the masses.

This attraction would scare the Addams Family out of their beds. If they did have the brass cojones to go through with it they'd have a winner on their hands. They'd probably have to cover up the naked demon chicks though. But other than that it looks awesome.

Bald Mountain has been a rumored for a possible movie for years. Maybe Dsource isn't completely drunk or off his or her rocker.
