5th Annual Christmas Shopping Thread

looking also for a tablet for DH he REALLY wants one he don't have any tablets either so maybe this student edition is the way to go lets see if I can find it :upsidedow

Just thought I'd share, I picked up a Disney themed Headbandz game at BJs yesterday for my best friend's youngest DD. I think it was around $15. I also got DD and my bestie's older daughter nail art books by Klutz (???) at AC Moore. It comes with 5 little nail polishes and tons of instructions on cute nail art designs that are simple & easy just using nail polish, q-tips and toothpicks. They were marked down from $21 to $12 and I was able to use a 15% off coupon.

DD bought herself one of those Smash books with a 40% off coupon and she worked on filling it up all day yesterday so I've put a few more of those on her list.

Does Disney usually have a sale on Christmas items before Christmas? There are a few ornaments and decorative items I'd like, but the prices are a little high. Also, I these past few days, so I missed the free shipping. How often do they have that?

For those getting the little people Disney princess castle....I found on Walmart.com snow white and the 7dwarfs. I had to have it shipped to our local store but it should be here Wednesday.

The Disney Store always has good deals on black friday. If you shop within the first couple of hours they're open, you get an extra % off total purchase too, on top of whatever deals they're having in the store! I usually get our Disney ornaments then.

Does anyone have a child in the 2-3 age range that can tell me if they would go with a LeapPad 2 Explorer or the Vtech Innotab2? I think my son is a little on the young side but I think he will very quickly grow into one of them but I am just a little torn as to which one to go with. Any opinions on the two - likes, dislikes, etc are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I get emails from Groupon everyday, but had never ordered from them. Today I saw a deal I thought would be nice for a Christmas present, but decided to think on it a little longer. A few hours later, I got an email saying I had a $20 credit to use on my first purchase. I redeemed it for the deal I saw earlier! I will use it as a joint gift to my brother and my dad, so 2 more gifts off the list!!!

DD's birthday is over so now I can focus on Christmas so I'll actually be following this thread now.

Right now I'm planning on getting her a kid's camera and more Little People.

That's awesome! Do you usually get your items by Christmas if you order on Black Friday?

And does this apply to the online store too, or just the physical stores?

my youngest is 9!! But we have had the Leapsters for her and one of her brothers when they were small...to me, they were much better than Vtech stuff then...not sure how much has changed~she stopped playing with it when she was about 5 or so,...and the Leapster went thru a lot!! :rotfl: I would pick that hands down!

Does anyone know if lego.com or the lego store have Black Friday deals?

I have a younger brother who collects lego sets and is hoping for some this year! :)

For those of you thinking of picking up the movie Brave, I was in the Disney Store today on my search for the ever-elusive Stuffy and they offered me a deal to pre-buy the movie. Usually I pass and pick it up on Amazon. But the deal they offered was AWESOME! $24.99 pre-buy (blu-ray plus DVD pack) PLUS about 4 lithographs PLUS a coupon which is activated when you pick up your movie for either $10 free at the Disney Store (yep, like a GC) or $20 off a purchase of $40 or more. Way to pick up some PJs half off or something like that.

I'm thinking of getting my husband a Keurig for Christmas. But I'm not a coffee drinker, and have no idea of which model or what features I want. Anyone care to give me some ideas?

Aliceacc - I don't drink coffee either, but I just got my husband a Keurig from Kohls with a 30% and then I am using the Keurig rebate that is out to get $30 back. :cool1:

My son got the original Leappad last Christmas and he turned 4 a few days later. My daughter was 2.5 at the time and she can play it and still does. Some of the games have suggested ages, so you can just look for the ones geared for younger children. It has held up well even when they carry it around by the stylus and drop it 50 times.

I am still trying to decidedif I should get my daughter the pink Leappad2 for Christmas or get the new Google tablet for kids. She could also just use my sons leappad...he is asking for a DS now...

I ordered my dd12's xbox with kinect today. Walmart had it for 249.00 but it came with Disneyland kinect game and the usual adventures kinect game. When all said and done 270.00 for the console, sensor bar, one controller and two kinect games. I was holding out until black friday but Disneyland Kinect made me do it :rotfl::rotfl:!
