5k medal?

is there still a medal that is given at the end of the 5k on castaway?
Rumors that they stopped giving the medals can anyone confirm this?

They give them and they are rubber. The neck strap is colorful and says the year. Google and other threads will find a picture of it for you. I received mine on my February cruise this year.

As of January this year, they are still giving them.

I got off the Fantasy yesterday. I walked the 5k at Castaway Cay and got a medal. So as of March 11, 2016, the medals are being handed out.

They were handing them out, as of our cruise on the Fantasy, which ended on March 5th, 2016.

Everything I have read says they give them out most of the time, but occasionally don't for whatever reason (Not enough supply maybe?)

That used to happen. It was part of my research for our first Disney cruise which was in February 2013. But from what I've read it hasn't happened since the time I was researching for that cruise.
