The Richard Petty driving experience once again for the holiday has the 3 lap ride along experience for $59.00. The special price offer expires 12/31/12 but it can be used starting 1/1/13.

I got this for my DH last Christmas since we had planned to go to WDW in Feb 2012 and he loved it. For Christmas I bought a little race car and on Christmas Eve I hung the car in the tree. On Christmas morning I told him his gift was in the tree. He guessed pretty quickly what I had gotten him.

Thanks for the info., looks like a great deal. Do you know if the ride can be done anytime next year? I looked on the website and don't see any info. on the dates it can be used. We are going to WDW in June and would love to give it to DH for father's day gift.

Just an FYI; this isn't good only at Disney World; there's several other locations. There's a calendar on the site where you can pull up which track you're interested in and see what dates it's valid for.

Just want to ask those who know - You do not need a reservation to redeem this gift card? You can just show up during the hours of operation?

I just want to make sure that is the case before I buy it. Also saw the ride along rate of $29 for teens, but that looks like it is not available for WDW.

Would like to use this in February.

You do not need a reservation, just look at the calendar and then it's first come-first ride. If your planning on doing this at the track at wdw, you might want to look into going to Daytona. It is a additional fee but the track is awesome. If you have any questions you can call customer service at drivepetty, they are super nice. My mil gave me this for christmas a few years ago and I just got to use it this past year at Charlotte track. They had teens for $29 so I surprised my ds.

thank you for the tip, I bought 2 of these..but question..says 14 and older can go on ride along with instructor.but then wording makes it seem like must have a parent also in car? am i reading it wrong, does anyone know?? thanks

their website was a pain lol. But they are super nice on the phone. I bought my DS16 a ride along. And while discussing this without him knowing I bought him one, he said he would never do this cause he doesnt want to die... good grief lol.
So I think DH will get to go lol
