Tell me about the meatloaf at 50's primetime. I love meatloaf, would I like this? What seems to be in it? What else is good there?

The Pot roast is great, and the pot pie looked good, but i didnt taste it. I think mostly everything there is good. My little 2 year old cousin loved the meat loaf(lol) Def get the s'mores for dessert, best s'mores ever.

I made it at home once, but never had it at Prime Time. It was a pretty darn good loaf though so I would say yes!

I haven't had the meatloaf, but would agree that the pot roast is delicious. We are making sure to go back this trip for the pot roast. Don't forget to try the Peanut butter and Jelly Shake - mmmmm, Yummy.

DW likes the meatloaf there and alternates getting it with the pot roast. I am not sure what all is in it but she tells me it is pretty good.

It's very good! Meatloaf with the mashed potato's...mmmmmm
Enjoy.

Haven't tried the meatloaf yet but it always seems to get rave reviews. I make meatloaf at home a lot so when I'm at PTC I always get the fried chicken since I make very little fried food at home. It is delicious!

DH loves the meatloaf here, I didn't particularly care for it. I did enjoy the fried chicken though.

I'm not a fan of their meatloaf. They cook it with rosemary mixed, which ruined it for me. The pot roast is delicious though!!

I really liked the meatloaf! Their fried chicken was good too. It was white meat. I think it was 2 pieces.

Ok now I"m hungry just thinking of 50s.... The appetizer... I had the cheese/herb thing. I crave it everyday since.. it was the best appetizer I had while at the world

Their onion rings were pretty darn good according to my ex

I love the meatloaf! I don't know what's in it though. If I did, I could try to make it at home! :)

How many pieces of chicken do you get? Is it all dark meat and no white meat?

When my sis and I got it in Dec 05, we each got 3 pieces, a big breast, a leg and a thigh. Yummy! If you'r eon the dining plan and not starving, this is definitely a meal you could split. Get the onion ring appy, chicken dinner and either smores (oh man was this good! and big!) or a hot fudge sundae.

Here ya go ...

MOM’S MEATLOAF

INGREDIENTS:

2 lb Ground Beef
1 lb Ground Pork
4 Whole Eggs
1 cup Seasoned bread crumbs
½ cup Diced Onions
1/4 cup Diced Green Peppers
1/4 cup Diced Red Peppers
2 T Worcestershire Sauce
1 t Black Pepper
1 T Kosher Salt
½ cup Meatloaf Glaze

METHOD:

Dice peppers and onions and set aside for later use. Combine meats and seasonings. Add vegetables. Place meat mixture in oiled loaf pan. Bake at 350 degree oven for 1 hour (internal temp 155). Brush meatloaf with meatloaf glaze. Bake another ten minutes. Let meatloaf set ten minutes, cut loaf and serve.

MEATLOAF GLAZE INGREDIENTS:

½ cup Ketchup
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Dijon Mustard
½ Tsp Worcestershire Sauce

METHOD:

Combine all ingredients until mixture is smooth.

Note: I enjoyed this meatloaf at the 50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney-MGM on May 8, 2003. Upon request, the above recipe was mailed to my home on May 23.

Enjoy.

Its very good. In fact I make this at home regularly- its the only meatloaf recipe my family will eat. What's great about it is that every time I make it it reminds us of our wonderful family trips to WDW and it is delicious. I don't make the glaze over it as my family prefers their own ketchup but we do like it. You should try it! It tastes just like the Prime-Time! Enjoy

I'm noticing that the big 3 favorites seem to be the meatloaf, the fried chicken and the pot roast. I've tried each and all were fabulous, couldn't go wrong with any of them.

I thought the meatloaf was okay. My husband had the pot roast, it looked much better. I have to be honest, I'm not a big fan of the 50's Primetime Cafe.

One of my favorite meals at WDW. I've also had the Chicken Pot Pie which was ok but not as good as the Meatloaf. Hubby raves over the Fried Chicken and Dad raves over the Potroast. Smores were gross. The ones I make at home are 10 times better.

Karnak, thanks SO much for putting that recipe up here! My DH doesn't really like meatloaf but loved it at Prime Time. Maybe now he'll eat it when I make it :teeth:
