Tell me about it please. :teeth:

My search feature on the site won't work for me. Thanks for any info.

The theme (as the name suggests) is the 50's. And most folks would agree that the theming is excellent - complete with a TV loop playing of famous scenes from shows like I Love Lucy.

The wait staff and the diners are all cousins/neices/nephews etc (in character). You may be prompted by the wait staff to "take your elbows off the table"...or "sit up straight" -- or "if you don't finish your veggie, no dessert for you!" etc..

Take note that the cafe will be closed from 01/04 - 01/28 for rehab.

DVConvert-Thanks for the info. I'll look at the menu at Allearsnet.
Will DD's 13 & 10 enjoy it?
I want to do a fantsmic package, can I use my TS credit?

Thanks, YO

I don't think 50's has the fantasmic package... we have ressies at the beginning of our trip and could only get the package for Mama Melroses, Brown derby or Hollywood and Vine.

Not sure when you're traveling, but I know for us, we can't go to 50's because it will be closed during our trip. Quite disappointing since this was the only place we wanted to go other than Crystal Palace.

Well there goes that plan. Thanks for the info. We did Hollywood & Vine last time and not sure we want to do it again. I'll just look into going to fantasmic without the package.

Terk -1 thanks for the menu.

This is one of DD13's favorite places to eat!! DD5 is pretty shy and doesn't like the attention quite as much. The kids really like it when the parents get in "trouble" :rotfl:

It is a real fun place to eat. As tired and hot i was ,dining at 50 PTC brightened my spirits. The food is great and the service wonderful! :sunny:

We love this place as well. DW likes the meatloaf and potroast while I like the fried chicken. Our kids love it when we get in trouble as well and seem to help the servers get us in trouble.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Disney. I had an absolutely fantastic time there in October, and you should definately try it!

You have to try a shake when you're there. I like the chocolate shake but I've heard everyone rave about the PB&J shake!

wendy1974, a shake sounds really good right now.

Can I get a shake if we are using the dining plan?

Meatloaf actually sounds good.

If I feel like we can get into fantasmic without a problem we'll definately go.

Thanks, YO

oooooooooh what I wouldn't do for Mom's Fried Herb Cheese right now.. and I have the flu and the thought of food isn't appealing right now but that was my FAVORITE during my recent trip of all appetizers. I couldn't eaten it every day and wanted MORE

We had the best time in April at the 50's Prime Time. Can't wait to go back in January. We went with a friend and I knew that if I did not eat my green beans the waiter (our cousin) was going make me. So I took mine and put them on my friends plate. The waiter came over, picked the fork and speared all of the green beans and made my friend eat all of them at once. We were all roaring. My friend ate them and then turned and said they were mine. The waiter made me get up and stand with my nose against the wall while the whole room said "Shame.shame". Like I said we can't wait to go back. Jay

we ate there last year and loved it. i had the pot roast and it was great!!!! i didnt eat all my greenbeans and "mom" yelled at me then spoon fed me. quite embarressing but my 3 and 4 yrold sons loved it. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
