Hello,
I just made an ADR for 50's Prime Time Cafe today for our February trip. How is the food? How's the atmosphere? Pictures would be very much appreciated....
Thanks is advance for all of your help!

The food is awesome comfort food. The pot roast is the best, but the fried chicken is great too. The atmosphere, well, let's just say you better mind your manners or Mom will come after you. It's more fun than a barrel of, well it's fun.

We were there in early December for the first time and really enjoyed it. I had the pot roast and it was very good. My mom got a really unique "dessert" after not cleaning her plate!

We've eaten there several times. First time, just me and my children, ducked in to avoid a terrible downpour just starting. There were 3 seats at the bar, so they said the kids could sit there with me (it's a tiny bar). We got drinks (glow for the kids), and they said we could order food there (no tables available). Well, my DS got a hot dog kids meal, and I asked if DD and I could share the fried chicken dinner, too much food for me. Not only did they say yes, they brought it out on two different plates, so we each got the sides of veggies and potatoes, plus a piece of fried chicken. It was plenty of food, and so kind of them. I am not fond of super fatty food, but some wine on vacation throws caution to the wind, and it tasted super yummy! I mean yummy!

I have had some very nice meals there. It's a nice break to sit and have some comfort food during the day, or evening. I shared the same chicken meal with my friend at another time and we also had the onion rings - yummy!

I do recommend it for some nice basic (maybe fattening) food!

We ate at 50s Prime Time in September and loved it! Everything was soooo yummy! If you want comfort food, this is the place to get it.

Alway make sure you bring your sense of humor to 50's Prime Time....

Thank you all for your replies. I am very excited to try out this restaurant!
Thanks again!

It was just too fun. I will have to upload pics. DH cleaned him plate so quickly, that Uncle Tommy not only stuck it on the wall for all to see...he also brought over another server (she then brought over one of her patrons) so you could see "how it's done". Also the woman next to us kept putting her elbows on the table. She had to stand and sing "I'm a little teapot" She was from England and she said they sing it different than in the US...well she got the words wrong and we all had to sing with her until she got it right. Our whole dining room was hysterical.

I am thinking of adding 50's to our ADR list if we ever get to make them. :rolleyes1 It sounds like fun! :thumbsup2

Here is my take on 50s. The food is outstanding, we absolutly love it. BUT, be prepared for a good chunk of your day to be there. We were there a couple weeks ago. We had ADRs for 1:30. We checked in at 1:15 and were seated around 2:30-2:45. By the time we left (we took dessert to go) it was after 4:00. While we enjoyed it very much, we were not overjoyed to spend so long away from the park (especially the long wait after our adr time). We had a pretty long wait like that last time we ate there (not as bad, but still a while) which is why I went for a later lunch, but it was a very long wait. The food and fun was totally there, but just be prepared that you may have to wait quite some time. Don't want to be negative, I love it there, but just warning you what could happen...

We liked the food there a lot. The pot roast isw really good. We also had a lot of fun. Unfortunately our server wasn't that great, and we even asked for an interactive one. Buuutt, we had such a good time watching the server next to us. Her name was Mandy, and she really got into the whole thing. When we go again, I will ask for her. She was so great. SHe did the "little teapot thing", along with a lot of other interaction, and appreciated when we told her how enjoyable she made the dinner for us.

We ate at the 50's PT in August. Originally we had ADR's for an evening dinner. We ended up cancelling. However, we were able to walk up around 11:30 and they got us seated for lunch in about 15 minutes.

I would say the food is good. That means not great, but not bad either. It's the atmosphere that makes this place fun. Being introduced to "cousins" that you didn't know you had, watching black & white "I love Lucy" shows, and being corrected for putting your elbows on the table all adds to the fun.

We are getting our list together for ADR's for October and I at first wasn't going to add this. But, I am going to sooo put it on my top list!
