We had 1:45 adr, and we arrived at 1:45, but were not seated until 2:10. the lobby was ubber crowded, and hot. When we were seated, the dinning area was just as hot.

Our server was extremely busy, and didn't take our drink order for 10 mins.

My wife and i both had the fried chicken. it was good, not great. the sides it came with were standard food line sides. both kids had a kids plate.

I ordered one of the fancy liquor drinks, and my daughter had a chocolate shake.

Our server took our orders then vanished. the only time we saw her again was when she brought a birthday cupcake to daughter 4, based only on her birthday button. She did a real good job of getting the entire dinning room to sing happy birthday to her.

When our bill came, she said i had a present too, and said she was sorry. Entire bill was only $35. She dropped the drinks worth almost $20 off the bill to make up for her being so behind and not into character. i stil tipped her well, and our total bill ended up with tip being $45.

While i was not impressed with this visit, and it was our first, we will try it again. We did see quite a few families really having fun.

The fact that you got items off your bill without complaining tells me that she was having to cover for a server that didn't show up to work or some other extenuating circumstance that made the service much worse then usual. Places were this kind of service is the norm generally aren't apologetic about it.

I know the service there was much better when we went. Still not really fast but not awful by any means.

I also thought the food was just ok. I also had the fried chicken, and boy was it salty!!! Even the table next to us complained of the same thing. Maybe it was an off day? i was disapointed thou. But I will go back simply because i thought it was a lot of fun!! Next time im trying something else. :)

We ate an early Lunch (11:00 a.m.) at 50's, the food was pretty good, I got the fried chicken also, I didn't care to much for the greens, but I forced myself to eat it anyway since the table beside us was "airplane" fed the rest of their greens. All of the staff were great and in character, it wasn't that busy, and early so maybe that had something to do with them being able to play around with everyone. Based on my experience I will eat there again.

one of the reasons I don't like 50's is because you feel like you HAVE to eat things you either don't like, or in DH's experiance was grizzle. I actually told my server who told me to eat my veggies(spinach:eek:) It ain't gonna happen. She didn't press it. But poor Dh was airplane fed the grizzle from his steak! BTW he ate it and we laughed at him:rotfl: Love the food and eat at the bar to avoid the show.

My family has gone there ever time and have always enjoyed eating there. Tim the waiter was very curtious to us last time we were there and made our experience great.

is one of our must do's every trip! We don't eat the skin on the chicken so maybe we don't notice it's salty. I don't eat greens so always ask for something I do...I have had my beans returned on top of my ice cream and told I couldn't eat desert until they were gone...

Lunch offers different options and we love exploring them!

Your server can make a big difference in your enjoyment of the food too. We have had awesome servers and some that were not into the role at all.

Hope you have better luck the next time!
