I've had a lovely day out today at Chessington. It wasn't too busy and we got there as it opened which meant we'd ridden all our "must dos" before lunch. I was stunned that they were charging 50p for maps - a good idea on one hand to save waste but I would have expected at least one complimentary map when we bought our tickets.

Wow, that is unbelievable :sad2:

Wierd, they don't do that at Thorpe Park and Alton Towers who are owned by the same company, Tussauds. We have Tussauds AP's and have been to both AT and Thorpe this season and they didn't charge for maps.

Outrageous about the map, glad you had a nice day though:thumbsup2

I hope they don't do that at WDW - I end up with tons of maps:)

Not true for Thorpe, I went there on the 28th of April this year and they were charging.

However at Alton towers (the next day!) the maps were free.

The thorpe map I saw some people buy was one folded bit of paper.

But Alton charges £4 for parking but thorpe was free.

Crazy, like theme parks don't make enough money out of us already! Glad you had a good day though, I would love to go to Chessington, bit far for us though.
