Has anybody been able to get the free $500 gift card offer? I have reservations at the Contemporary and tried getting the gift card, but Disney said they couldn't find the promotion code listed.

Its possible that it either doesnt apply to your dates or that there are no rooms at the contemporary available with this offer. From the disney website:

I am booked for 5 nights 6days in early Dec 10 and I qualified for a $300 gift card picked up at check in.

The dates I booked work fine. The problem is the person on the phone from Disney couldn't even pull up the coupon code when I gave it to them.

How did you get ahold of Disney to get this to work? I tried calling and they knew nothing of the promotion and the code wwouldn't pull up How long ago did you get a hold of Disney for the gift card?

The dates I booked work fine. The problem is the person on the phone from Disney couldn't even pull up the coupon code when I gave it to them.

Disney only allots a set number of rooms at each participating resort for each offer. If those rooms have already been booked up for your dates then you cant get the offer anymore. For example, imagine that there are one hundred rooms at resort x. Disney might set aside ten of those rooms each night for the ABC promotion. Once those ten rooms are booked they cant let guest no. eleven book with the code. The computer wont allow it. So if all of the promotional rooms at the contemporary have been booked for your dates (or even just one of your dates) then you will not be able to book the promotion. You can keep calling back or try changing your dates around to see if anything opens up. Sometimes there will be a room available for some of your nights but not all of them.
