50 Disney Dollars for opening a Disney Visa

Just to let you know that this really is legitimate and does work... I have a card and my DH is an authorized user. In mid-May when I received this offer in my bill, I had DH call to get his own card (he told them he didn't need to hear all the stuff at the end, by the way, so it was a quick call). He used it once, and the bill came yesterday and does show the 50 bonus reward dollars in addition to the 2 that were earned (for charging $200) on the card.

It took about 7 weeks from the time of the initial application over the phone to receiving the bill showing the reward dollars.

I just got my cards!!! I applied over the phone on 6/21/04! I'm a SAHM and was worried I wouldn't qualify! Well, not only did I qualify but they gave me a hefty credit limit!! I quickly activated it and lowered my limit to what I'd spend at Disney World on vacation because that is what I mainly got it for. I do not want to run the risk of racking up a big balance! I also had him shut off the 'automatic' increases to my limit that they do. He did it all in a flash.

I just created an account online too to check things out! FUN!!

I was surprised at how quickly they came.

I applied on 6/21 and just got my card in today's mail! All I need to do is activate it and use it one time to get the $50 reward dollars!! It is the easiest $50 I ever made

I know what you mean!!! I even asked today (when I activated and lowered my limit) if I would be getting the $50 Reward dollars and he said yes, as soon as I use the card!!

I also called the privacy number to to opt out. Didn't take long.

I'm so excited!!

I just wish I had a Double reward offer!

My DH has the card in his name and when I checked the exciting offers for our card, it gave a Pool Rewards with family and friends and also offered a $ 50 bonus.

So I just called the phone number, and got a recording that says they are no longer accepting applications on this offer! They gave another phone number to call but all operators were busy. But when I checked bank one again, it's still on my exciting offers list.

When my DH got the card, we got nothing, not a dollar, not a pin. I sure would have liked the $ 50 for our trip.

I looked up my DV account and the current offers still show the $50 reward dollars. They posted a website www.50disneyrewards.com but when I looked it up it only had $15 disney store discount after your first purchase.

My account also showed that I can get double reward dollars when I spend $700 each month. I didn't get a postcard with this info on it so anyone that hasn't got a postcard yet, check your account online.

I also have that "pool" offer on my Disney Visa account. I read it and reread it but I don't quite get it. If somebody understands it can you explain. I'm thinking it just means everybody can put there Disney Reward dollars together. If that's so what's the difference between just using two rewards card for one purchase or is that not allowed?

Has everyone who applied with this offer gotten their $50? Was it posted right after first purchase? or after first billing cycle? Did you have to call to get it applied or was it automatically?

I've had my card for over a month now and have used it 3 times and still no $50.

I just read another thread where someone who applied with the code the OP provided is mad because they will only give her $25 and not $50 and now I'm very worried.

I was worried about it also, because it wasn't showing up on my account online. But it was on my first statement that I got (I think it came last week). Anyway, maybe it's there and you just can't see it yet. Did you get your first statement from them yet?

No, I didn't. So I guess I shouldn't worry yet. But when I saw that other poster who was told she will not get $50 but only $25 I was scared!!

I just called the 1-888-215-3051 with the code (6Y7911) in hand.

The guy had no idea what I was talking about. He said they don't use 'codes' and that the information must bogus. He said the only reward program he saw was a $15 offer (given after the first purchase).

Anyone else get this???


I didn't apply. $15 is not enough.

I called and applied using the code from this thread, and the woman I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about either. I asked her to keep looking and as she looked, she read back to me all the different offers Disney Visa had ($25 reward, $15 Disney store credit etc) Finally she found the $50 reward I was calling about and said it would be no problem. That said, I have received my card and have used it several times and no $50 reward yet. I did receive my first statement, but I was waiting until the second one to see if it's there. Now I'm getting nervous that they won't give it to me . I'll be sure to post when the statement comes and let everyone know what the outcome is.

I just went to the link posted by Weluvdisny and called the 800 # listed on the site. I was offered the $50 when booking a cruise and then told her that was not what I was seeing on the website. She kept looking and found the offer. I applied but she never read me any terms and conditions. Just told me I would hear something within 30 days.

Now it's just a wait and see. I hoe the fact that she didn't bother reading any of the terms and conditions wasn't a bad sign???...lol

When I applied, I did ask about the $50 offer and she said yes, that is the offer I will get...so I'm trying not to worry until at least one billing cycle. Then I'll fight them.

I called and got the $ 50 reward offer, no problem. Except my first billing cycle included only the 5 days after I got my card, with only one purchase. So not enough to get 1 reward. And the $50 reward did not show up. I've kept charging and hope it shows up after the second billing cycle. If not, I'm going to call and complain.

I'm the OP of this thread. By the time I posted the offer had been out awhile because I got it off this board from another poster. Anyway, when I applied I didn't have to give a code the lady automatically offered the $50 Disney reward dollars. Make sure you call the number that was listed in the original post. I got my Disney Reward dollars about 6 weeks after I applied even before I had made a payment on my account. I hope those of you trying to apply get this straightened out. If not I had my husband apply online with a new friends and family pool offer. If someone is interested in that info post it here and I'll go look for the info when I get home from work. My husband hasn't received that card yet so I don't know how legit that offer is. Sorry, for your inconvinience.

When I received my rewards credit it was for $25, not $50. I called up and complained. The rep said there wasn't anything they could do but I persisted. I told them the code I used and told her I repeatedly confirmed with the rep that the code I was using was for $50 when I signed up for the card. I told her they could go back and listen to the recording of my signup (I believe they record these things to protect themselves) and they could hear this for themselves. The rep finally agreed that they would look into it but made no promises. Today I logged into my account and found they had added $25 to my account. Hooray!

I would recommend going to the website and doing the application online. Calling the number took much longer than I expected!
