50-60 pt SSR resales?

I know it's kind of early for SSR to be seeing smaller point resales, but has anyone seen many/any 50-60 pointers?

Just to put things in perspective, as you already know contracts that small can only come from existing member add-ons. So, for such a contract to hit the market, someone would have had to decide to add on in the last 18 months, and then decide to sell within that same timeframe. Seems like a pretty small market to me.

Keep looking...I'm sure something will turn up eventually. But I fear you may have a bit of a wait ahead of you.

I knew the sales for SSR haven't been going on that long and I have seen several below 150... 100-140 range, just none in the 50's range yet.

I think I've pretty much decided that I want to get the majority of points at SSR (mostly because of the duration of the membership), but I won't be able to get all those for a little awhile.

Might be good to have 50 or so pts at BWV or VWL....

DVC has had some nice incentives for current members to add-on 120-130 points at SSR. Last fall they were giving two free annual passes for that size add-on. This spring it was 100 additional points (one time use only). That may be part of the reason you are seeing larger add-on contracts.

We have a 50 point contract....How bad do ya want it?

If that's all you want, you may have trouble buying it resale. Maybe one of the members could get one and "sell it to you". Or you could buy a small contract somewhere else, add on the SSR points you need then sell the other contract if you didn't want to keep it. Maybe someone wants to get 60-70 points and the bonus pts. They could buy two 60's or 70/50 pts and sell you one at a fair price. They get the bonus points, you get what you want at a fair price and can add on later. Or your best option would be to save your money so that you can buy more what you need in a year or two when resales are more available.

We purchased a 30 point SSR contract 6 months ago as our "entry" into DVC thru TSS. It had current and banked points @ $75 per point plus closing came out to $87.50.

Then, as DVC members, we added another 50 thru our guide for a total of 80. So, we already have 160 for this fall's trip.

I'd say you got a pretty good deal there on the 30 points. I'm currently working on a contract for 40 pts at OKW, and then I plan on adding on (either thru DVC or resale) next year. If I get ROFR on these 40, I might just wait it out for a smaller SSR.

The going rate a few months ago, $95 per point. We could have gotten $90, but we wanted the current years points - and they let us bank 'em all even tho' it was technically past the 6 month window.

I really wanted to get the same use year, which was the primary reason for the second purchase being directly thru DVC.... plus it was simpler.

My odds of finding another small SSR, in the right Use Year, at the right price, with banked points was pretty slim.

At the time, we also could have taken a similar deal on 100 points with points banked for $90... we just really didn't want that many right now.... trying to pay cash as we go on this stuff.
