5 VB restaurants make the best of FL list.

Florida Trend magazine has released its annual Great Florida Restaurant Guide, which lists the 400 best places to dine in the state.

For those people who eat out a lot, it should come as no surprise that Vero Beach has five entries on the list, including Cafe du Soir, Ellie's, Ocean Grill, Sonya's (at Disney's Vero Beach Resort) and St. Tropez Al Fresco Bistro.

The list, compiled by the magazine's restaurant critic, Robert Tolf, gives Indian River County Treasure Coast bragging rights as having the most restaurants on the list.

Thanx for that list, Mike. That is good to know, as my wife and I are always looking for new and good places to eat. Just one Q- is "Ellie's, Ocean Grill" the same as "The Ocean Grill" near the Holiday Inn? If so, that place is fantastic.

You're welcome. The Ocean Grill is up near the VeroBeach HI Oceanside.

Ellie's is a different restaurant. It is located at Royal Palm Point off of Royal Palm blvd mainland side in the vicinity of some of the other restaurants.(Lobster shanty,Mr Manatees,etc). Haven't ate there yet so can't comment on it. There's a map on the site.Ellie's

One of my new favorites is the Red Garlic Bistro. It is fairly new and located right next to the Fisher Treasure Museum Sebastian off of US1. Have ate lunch there a number of times and Imho it has always been good. It is a unique restaurant for Sebastian.
