5 things that make you choke up

3. In Soarin' at the end when we swoop over Disneyland with the parade and all the Chirstmas lights.

Teresa
I'm so glad I'm not the only one on that! The first time it really hit me by total surprise. I just sobbed out loud, I was solo, and after I heard it, I realized, "Hey, that was me!" Kind of embarrassing! But that last scene in "Soarin'" gets me every time-at least now I'm prepared.

Again I say, only 5????

1. WISHES!
2. We Go On after Illuminations
3. Main Street
4. Spectromagic
5. American Adventure

Wow -- just reading these responses get me choked up!

I know, right?

1.) Going to MK for the first time in about a year. (My mother called me crazy for crying the day we got there for this reason.)
2.) Going on Soarin'.
3.) Seeing a character I really love.
4.) Leaving. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

The end of Fantasmic, when Mickey says, "Some Imagination (huh-huh)," really gets me. Every time!

My 5 from my trip last December...

1. Riding in the front of the monorail last December after 33 years of never getting the pleasure. My family thought I was NUTS!

2. Staying on property for the first time last December after 33 years of driving home to Jax after a day at the park. The Grand Floridian was AWESOME!

3. Watching my 4 year olds face when he saw Donald for the first time.

4. Watching my 6 year old meet her beloved princesses for the first time.

5. When I think about sharing a small little piece of my childhood and my home state with my Texan family.

12 days until we return :)

I know that I will have to add a 6! It will be that I will not be able to pass the main street barber after this trip without thinking about my 6 year old and me donating our hair to locks of love. We are hoping to have it cut off on our last day at MK on 10/23. Just thinking about that makes me a bit teary eyed.

all that and more,,,,,
1. checking my wallet after our trip

2. looking in the rear view mirror as we leave the resort

3. checking the damage to the front fender of my beautiful SUV after I run over the curb and hit the light pole doing #2 above :rotfl: ( yep, really! last year in front of Mickey D's leaving All Stars )

4. watching the veteran recieve the flag after its retired on Main Street

5. Make A Wish kids that might not be back again, and the extra big hug I give my own daughter when I see them

Seeing the castle for the first/last time on each trip

IllumiNations

Dreams Parade

Don't know why, but last year I got all choked up at the opening 'ceremonies' at AK. So strange...I know.

Spectromagic. Reminds me of being a kid.

Great thread!

I am SO not a crier....but when it comes to Disney?!

I choke up at....

1. The first big swell of music in Wishes

2. The beginning of FOLTK when all the floats come out and when they are singing Circle of Life

3. Standing at the end of Main Street looking at the Castle.

4. A hug from Mickey

5. The expressions of wonderment and awe on my nieces and nephew's faces.

I can actually think of a couple more...pulling up to the resort upon arrival...and I WOULD add the Ohio family video, but I wasn't just choked up at that...bawling might be more like it.....make-up running down my face, the whole nine yards.

2. The castle...gosh, each time I see it, I am instantly back in 1976 and an 8 year old seeing Disney for the first time with my beloved Grandpa at my side. Seriously, is anything nicer than seeing the castle for the first time?

I had to laugh. I remember when I saw Cinderella Castle for the first time when I was about five. The castle was decorated for the 25th anniversary of the opening of WDW. So, the first time I saw the castle, it looked like a birthday cake. When I went back three years later, I said to my parents, "Why did they rebuild the castle?" The cake, obviously, was no longer decorated as a cake. :rotfl:

1. Wishes, of course. That part that goes ''and all our wishesssss will come true'' :guilty:
2. Seeing the entrance sign
3. Ok does anyone remember that picture that someone had on here of Goofy helping an old man down some stairs?? I don't remember where it was, but it was the most incredible picture I've ever seen! :guilty: :guilty:

1. the smell of the polynesian lobby
2. Hearing "Please stand clear of the doors" for the first time on the monorail!
3. Walking down main street realizing we're finally back!!!
4. Seeing our brick in front of the magic kingdom.
5. Leaving!!! :guilty:

It feels great knowing i don't need to go to therapy because I tear up multiple times on our WDW trip.. I'm just a true Disney fanatic like the rest of us DISers!!!!!

While I get extremely giddy with excitement :hyper: , these make me tear up.

1) Being with my family in such a happy place
2) Beauty and the Beast Show
3) Festival of the Lion King
4) Wishes music while watching the fireworks over the castle as it changes color
5) Not being able to go back when I want

1. Always Festival of the Lion King

2. Wishes

3. Sitting outside on the boat that goes from WL/FW to the Magic Kingdom with the cool breeze blowing in your face and watching the Castle get closer and closer.

4. I'M too excited to sleep comercial

5. Sitting on your balcony and watching the lights from DTD floating across the sky, especially after a rain and the air is so crisp and clean

That's hard, I think I have more than 5, but here goes.

1-Seeing the castle for the first time
2-Illumination finale
3-Wishes
4-Golden Dreams song at American Adventure
5-Fantasmic when the steamboat with the characters somes by

One more..when my kids get their first hug of the trip from Mickey!

Also getting on ME & passing the gates out of Disney property...Well I wouldn't call that "choked up" but rather wet , snotty, loud, bawling by a grown woman!

2.gif

1. Wishes
2. Walking down Main Street and seeing the Castle
3. The Haunted Mansion ( I am listening to it right now on live365!)
4. Hearing my family say all together "we wants the Redhead" in Pirates of the Caribbean (I'm a redhead!)
5. All of us riding the monorail and saying please stand clear of the doors in English and in Spanish.

While I confess that I am overly sensitive and cry at many things (which is very annoying because I can't control it), Disney especially gets to me when:

1. I step on to Main Street
2. Watching any parade!
3. Watching my kids get excited
4. When I checked in the Poly for the first time in May (okay, while weird, I have a good excuse - my mom was there and I knew it would be our last Mother's Day together)
5. Explaining Year of a Million Dreams to someone ( )

I could go on an on. Ahhh, the magic of Disney. :goodvibes

1. Voices of Liberty - the most moving rendition of the National Anthem I've ever heard. Gets me every time.

2. "Two Brothers" part of American Adventure

3. Illuminations

4. Approaching the MK on the monorail and seeing the "The Magic Kingdom" sign in front of the train station

5. Being on Main Street USA at night, when all the lights go out just before Wishes begins.

1. When Mickey Pops up at the end of Fantasmic and says, "some imagination, uh?"

Boy that just gave me a chill writing it.

2. The end of the Lion King show at AK.

3. Illuminations with the July 4th ending and the Peace on Earth ending.

4. Thinking of all the good times and memories made with my Sweet wife there through the years.

5. The True colors preshow at HISTA. "The possibilties are endless and Believe in yourself".
