As a public health official who has been involved in restaurant inspections for over 25 years, I'm not too worried about picking something off the ground and eating it, especially compared to what I've seen in the "back of the house."
A place with a score of 90 can still be a food poisoning waiting to happen, and most of the food service employees these days are not as diligent as they should be.
