Hi everyone,

I'm looking for special or unique things that I could do on my 5 night trip to US/IOA. I will have a car and will be onsite part of the time and off site part of the time.

I am going to try and ride it all plus catch the shows but what else is there?
Is there something at Citywalk I really need to see? A favorite restaurant? hidden gem at resorts or parks? SHould I add a day at Seaworld or a waterpark?

Please help I need your inside secrets

The resorts are really neat. I would plan to eat at each for a meal and exploring. It's also nice to take the heat of the day off and explore the hotel's pools and pool hop.

There is also a night life on City Walk. I have never been to any of the clubs as I am not 21 yet but others could answer that.

Movie theater is on city walk as well. Mini gulf course is coming in... 2012?

I hear Blue Man is pretty good as well. My brain is wearing out for the night Im sure others will have lots of better suggestions!

We really enjoyed just walking around Citywalk in the evening. Great energy.

Blue Man Group is fun.

Are you staying onsite? There are activities at the resorts as well. We had fun just chilling poolside.

Make sure while you are onsite that you get your fill of rides! The day after you check out, you will no longer be able to get Front of the Line access. So, I would save your Citywalk touring until you move offsite.

Just to clarify....we can still use Express Pass ON the day we check out. Correct?

the day you check out, your hotel key card is valid for the perks.

it is valid for useage of all the express lines until the park closes on your check out day.

this includes the pools at the hotel also.

We have been venturing out to the surrounding area to explore a bit and to play mini-golf. We really like the Pirates courses that are scattered around.

I also think that going to Sea World is great fun. We haven't tried Aquatica yet but I've heard that it's nice.

sweet...I got some good ideas. I know I could count on people from the "dark side" to help me out.

Maybe I'll turn this into an universal/sea world area vacation.

Blue Man...I thought were in Vegas?? I better check on that.

The blue man group has a stage right next to the Studios. It is on Citywalk.

For the past year or two they have been offering special College rates, so if you or anybody in your family has a valid College ID, you can show it at the ticket window and get 2 tickets for $30 each! The tickets normally cost around $70, so its a great deal!

I'm wondering how closely they look at the ID. I mean I dont plan on cheating them out of money but my Student ID doesnt have anything but my name, picture and, ID number. No date enrolled no expiration date... The teacher ones on campus look just like the students too.

call them and ask.

if you have to have the school, date on them, you'll know in advance then.

the id's that the teachers have where i work in high school, have the school term and dates for validity.
same for the students.

They don't tend to look at them to closely. I got mine when I started College back in 09 so it had Fall 2009 on it. When I went last summer, they didn't even ask any questions about it. I think if you were to show them one from 2000 or something, there might be an issue, but I don't think everybody gets a new ID for each term.

Also, you can not buy these tickets ahead of time! You have to go to the ticket window the day you want to see the show and hope they have tickets left. You also do not really get to pick where you sit, but your only paying $30, so its not that big of deal.

This promo has been going on for awhile, and I can find no information about it ever ending. Here is a link to the little information they give on it.
