DH and I had a great trip. Weather was fantastic if you like heat and humidity--90+ and sunny everyday.

Liked the Beach Club a lot. I faxed a room request and they delivered with a room in the closest wing to Epcot, a full balcony, and a bonus side view of the lake and lighthouse.

We park-hopped at the four main parks.

We enjoyed breakfasts at Tusker House and Main Street Bakery, lunches at Biergarten, Mama Melrose's and ESPN Club and a dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express.

Magic Kingdom was the most crowded--very crowded for Spectromagic and fireworks on 5/10. Get your viewing spot early! Epcot's World Showcase got very crowded in the evening with Future World closing at 6. The flower show was wonderful as usual. So many beautiful plants and flowers that I don't see up here. Saw some pretty butterflies too. Downtown Disney had huge crowds at night.

We golfed at Fantasia Gardens. Did the harder course this time which was a challenge.

We rented a Hyundai Sonata from Budget which served us well. We didn't use the Disney buses at all this time.

Went from cranking the A/C on the highest setting to turning on the heater when we got home to Pittsburgh.

We'll look forward to our next trip.

Welcome home and thanx for the report :D

How was stormalong bay? busy and did you have trouble getting chairs or see any infamous "hoppers"?

How was housekeeping at the Beach Club?

Did you eat at Beaches and Cream or Cape May?

Thanx for any info... we are staying here in August

>>^..^<<

Stormalong Bay was not too busy the two times I went on weekday afternoons. We had no trouble finding a chair unlike others have stated. The weekend seemed more crowded.

Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room spotless. It was always clean by the time we came back for our morning break.

We ate at Beaches and Cream. Nothing great. We were annoyed with the kitchen sink "ceremony" since so many were ordering it--it got old quick. Long wait for a counter seat.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay in August.

Thanks for your trip reports - just luv reading them!!!!

Disney Panda Can you remember your room number. You had the room we would love to have. We are arriving at BC on July 27 and plan to spend most of the time at Epcot. Isn't MGM withing walking distance from the BC also? How did you like the Boardwalk? Did you do any of the night life there? Enough questions, anxious for your answers.

Your trip sounded wonderful! We stayed at the BC for the first time last year and just fell in love. I enjoyed the walk to EPCOT. We were lucky to stay in room 1516 and my sister stayed in room 1524. It was on the ground level with a view of the treeline that divides the resort from the park. We just walked right out of our room, down the sidewalk a few feet and we were at the hill/bridge take takes either to Boardwalk, to EPCOT, or back to the BC/YC. It was great.

We are returning to the BC this summer and would love to have the same location. Could you let me know what the fax number is to request the same room number?

Thanks!

Cindy6457,

We had room 4575. It was near a single elevator and steps that led down to the volleyball court. You could get on the walkway to Epcot by walking across the grass. It's also right by the quiet pool but that was closed. Not sure when it will reopen. The room seemed smaller than what I saw in the diagrams. Two queen (?) beds in the room (no daybed), desk and chair. We loved the Mickey lamp in the room. Saw it at DD for $250. The room with the toilet and shower was small. You could barely close the bathroom door without hitting the toilet. The room has an automatic light on the balcony that you cannot turn off. That takes away a little privacy sitting out there at night. I think there were rooms closer to Epcot but not much.

MGM is also within walking distance. We took the boat though since I wanted a break from all the walking in the parks and the heat.

We ate lunch at the Boardwalk and looked in the shops. We did not do any nightlife. We'd usually be at DD till it closed and then go back and go to bed.

You'll definitely like the Beach Club.

100percentDisney,

Check out www.wdwig.com if you haven't already. That's where I got info on faxing a request. The fax number for BC is 407-934-3850. As others have recommended don't get too specific in your request. You're best to rank 1-3 requests and let them know why you're making that particular request. Then they can try and meet it if a specific room is not available.
