5/30 Toy Story Mania FP changed?

I woke up to an email from Disney saying they switched my TSM FP to Fantasmic! on Monday, 5/30. Anyone else? 13 days out and I'm wondering if it's a closure and I need to change my whole schedule now. It'll be a couple hours before I can call to investigate so thought I'd ask in the meantime!

Maybe they're planning a down day to enable the third track?

Although that'd be a horrible day to do it.

It was 7:30-8:30pm, I believe. I noticed the hours were extended that night from 8:30 closing to 10 pm. It's a holiday! It's a terrible time for them to close it! If that's the case...

yeah, actually, i think the third track is supposed to be live as of Memorial Day weekend. if there was going to be a closure for that, i'd probably expect it prior to the holiday weekend. sorry, i'm stumped.

Got a chance to call. They said it's not supposed to be closed that day, so theyre thinking its a glitch. They added toy story back as an anytime fastpass and allowed us to keep the Fantasmic! Fingers crossed it works out or we'll have some kids with crushed feelings lol!

I have a FP for TSMM at 12:45 on 5/30 and it is still showing up in my plans, so I'm guess it was a glitch somewhere.

Only other thing that I can think is that maybe the Star Wars fireworks had an impact on it at night. I noticed they just added those recently for that day (along with extending the closing time).

TSMM is impacted by the SW fireworks. It closes before the fireworks show which should be at 9:45 - Pixar Place is a fireworks shell fallout area.

OP: use your anytime FP earlier in the evening.

I am guessing that is because the rides in the fallout area close at 8:15 on star wars fireworks nights so your FP window until 8:30 wouldn't be valid.

TSMM closes out its FP return window early so that only Standby guests are entering the ride. It's so they can get through all the Standby guests and any last minute walk-ups before they close completely a few minutes before the fireworks begin.

It's usually walk-on or a few minutes wait right before TSMM closes.

Mystery solved! Thanks, guys! I did notice today they added the Star Wars fireworks so that makes total sense! When I called, no one could figure out why it got switched, so we were given an anytime pass to use at our leisure. This works out amazing bc our Studios day is actually starting to look kind of packed!
