Awfully quiet around here tonight :guilty:, and the boards seem to be working properly for the first time in 3 days. Glad to see that 499 number tonight! After spending all day in a meeting with the (crazy) people that I'll be in San Diego with in March, I'm looking forward to that trip... so at least I have something else to think about for 2 months... now, how to occupy my mind  for the remaining 14 months... guess the Board will have to do!!

busy day today. left at 10:45 for the Y program. got home around 3:00. entertained the dog and cleaned up her muddy paw prints from everywhere until it was time to go to First Communion class at church....did that. now home and ready to drop.

wow. i'm loads of fun, huh?

Think your both right. Just been one of those days.

blahhhhhhhhh!

Wishing all a great day tomorrow!! :flower1:

A good thing:

This afternoon, Alicia and school mate came over to test their balsa bridge we made for the science olympiad. The premise: Build the lightest weight bridge you can that will hold 15kg (35lbs).

Yea, ours did with a total weight of 23grams. Not bad, the girls were excited and started there Powerpoint presentation about the project that got a bit silly.

13yo girls...........

I'm back home...but heading for bed. Looking at a long day at the office tomorrow.

We went to Home Depot (The Mother Ship) and got the paint for the laundry room. I can't wait to get started, but it's not that long till the weekend.

Kevin...I tried the wine removal recipe, it looks like it may have worked!! Won't know until it's completely dry.

I may not go to my Mom's next week. The doc is talking about sending her to a rehab facility for 2 weeks after her surgery. I'd go up a day or two before she comes home from there. That would be a whole lot better for her, and for my Dad and I. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
But, I've been gathering up things like my scrapbook stuff from the Christmas cruise, and books I want to read, but never have time for....just so that I don't go stir crazy.

Time for bed.....see ya all later!

Well, 23 grams is a start. But you're a LONG way from the required load of 15 KILOgrams! :earboy2:

Or did the bridge weigh 23 grams?

Drops in for a while this early a.m. We are still around. It is our busy season at work. No time to chat, but we still surf. Reading all the posts. It is something else tying to keep up with both this one and the Ship Of Fools posts. We were finally given clearance to go on that cruise of a lifetime. So we are doing a double cruise happy dance. Two weeks on the Magic and then many months later another week on it. Who could ask for more. LOL. Talk later

:flower1: Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Thursday!

Yesterday was a pretty slow day - only had to go back one page to find the good morning :D

Lots of rain, lots of melted snow, lots of yuck. Good thing we don't have a "beast" or it would be all muddy here.

Off to read the boards.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow, I really slept in this morning. Mary posted her Good Morning before I got on the board.

It sure did feel good! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Gee - what a slacker - didn't get on the boards until 7 am :D

Checking in this morning. Today is my Fri. :cheer2: We're heading out (driving) tomorrow for a long weekend in Louisiana. We're taking the girls to a Mardi Gras parade. Weather should be nice so it'll be lots of fun. Meeting up with family & friends. It's been 2 years since we've been to a parade so I'm sure the girls don't remember much. Will have to teach them to say "Throw me somethin' mister" all over again!

I bought paint for my laundry room two days before Hurricane Charley blew through town (yes, that was mid-AUGUST!!).... the paint is STILL sitting in its nice little closed-up can... maybe someday I'll get around to actually putting it on the walls! Smallest room in the house, and I can't manage to accomplish it! Now with Speedweeks approaching, and DH working 80 hour weeks, looks like it will wait til the end of March!!!

Great news about the stain. I've heard that hydrogen peroxide works as an oxidizer for many things. Guess it just eats up the stain. Cool!!

Silly! The bridge "weighs" 23grams, and it "holds" 15kg

But then you knew that.......
