I loved owning and riding motorcycles! But big bugs and rain tends to hurt!!!!! :rolleyes1 :lmao:
DH came home one day and was bleeding by his ear where a bug collided with him :sad2: . I think the bug might win against my little moped :rotfl2: .

Julia - How did you like the outcome? I think Charmaine needed to go. And Tarek(?) was not "the genius" that the reports say. He may be a genius on books, but common sense and just normal "life", he's out there. I was pretty happy with the outcome. And boy oh boy, Lee, I think we will see him in a politician's role one day just like "the Donald" said. It'll be interesting to see the mix that happens next week. You know they can't leave a team to 2 players. Who's your vote for the winner? It's getting down to the wire.

I forgot all about The Apprentice.... Did Charmaine get 'fired.' ( my friend's mom is really ill and I was yakking with her.)

I did ask over there!

I have a new Nikon D200!! Quite the awesome camera, got it with the 18-200mm AFS VR lens (plus a couple of others). Amazing pictures!

I also have a Olympus 7070 with an underwater housing that I use for the scuba diving. My main gripe about that camera or that type of cameras (prosumer types) is the slow shutter release speed. Underwater, I was getting fish butts due it. The D200 is blazing fast and can take RAW pictures up to 5 per second up to 20exposures! Very nice!! But the cost of housings for the big boy cameras cost more than the camera, some several times......... will have to wait awhile for that to happen.

Sigh - I really hope, as I catch up with the Virgil thing, John hasn't been lurking and reading about your new Nikon - he has the D100 and would love to upgrade...He'll have to chime in about his lenses...

He works for a race photography company shooting the marathon and other runs - he's also taken some great photos of a triathlete friend during the bike portion. He loves it!

Hi OM!

We are looking at the Rebel as well as the Nikon D50.
Which lenses do you have?
I hope to get one soon so I have time to play before the cruise!

I saw a beautiful night photo of the Wonder in Nassau on the photography board...I'm hoping to get a beauty like that one!!!

susan

Uh.....we have the lens that came with it :confused3

Which dh says isn't that good, but it's serving us ok right now and we're trying to pay off debt, not create more. :) I always think I want one of those super-telephoto things b/c sometimes I want a picture of something that's really far away.....
but don't know if I want to lug it around. well....unless I get a bigger fanny, thus a bigger fanny pack!! :) :) :)

We like those SRLs! Did they ever start using the one at Soarin'?

Can't wait for the kids to be old enough to do this. Right now when we mention it they look at us like we've grown another head. "WHAT? You want us to sit by a STRANGER????"

Kevin,

I knew you & Diana know how to "work it"!! [The FP system, that is!!] :rotfl2: It still amazes me how many people don't! ;) Actually, I was surprised last month how easy it was to get on EE multiple times! :woohoo:

Yup, I've overheard ppl talking about how they can't use it for some reason or another ...
"no, honey, we can't get those, we don't have annual passes." :confused3
Then I struggle with the "should I tell them and make their trip better" or "should I let them believe that and have more fast passes for us??" :lmao:

I just called to find out what movies would be playing. I think I got them all written down.

Chicken Little
Eight Below
Herbie Fully Loaded
Narnia
Sky High
Glory Road
Shaggy Dog
The Wild
Annapolis

I was hoping to see DaVinci Code, and ds was hoping to see Hoot. Oh, well, there are several of those that we haven't seen, yet, and the ones that we have seen haven't been on the 'big screen'. We never did go see a movie on our first cruise, so I've never been in the theater on board.
Any possiblity of seeing the Robin Williams movie RV or Aquellah and the Bee? I'm not sure whether either of those of Disney related? Just checking.

Sorry, about the time you posted that, Nick and I were reviewing the English Monarchs from the 17th century. :) :) :) And then he got 100% on his unit assessment!!!! :)

Yippie. We haven't made it to Shaggy Dog yet. Might as well wait the few more weeks. After all, then it will be "free."

Hoot isn't a Disney movie, is it? I didn't think so, so I wasn't holding out hope it'd be there. That's one we have to see.....we listened to the audio book on the trip to WDW once. :)

I have been shooting with a D100 since it came out. I have 2 "Pro" lenses the 70-200 AFS f/2.8 telephoto, and the 17-35 AFS f/2.8. My "normal" lens is a 35-85 AFS f3.5-4? I also have a 50 f/1.8 for low light stuff.

The Houston marathone is fun --- I will typically take 6-7000 images in 6 hours. I have taken a bit of a break while in school, but I have shot part-time professionally -- mainly location, family photos (on the beach, at the park, at home, etc). For awhile I was working for another photographer shooting weddings -- she would take the formals at the church and I would finish up at the reception. I also have a friend who is a industrial photographer. Once I got to go out on a bunkering barge that was refueling onw of the Princess line cruise ships in Houston. He also had me out on a ledge on a 40 story building in Houston at 5:00 one morning!

Yes I would like to upgrade. I think a D2X would be nice to take the group photo with! :rolleyes1

Wow, there are some oldies there! But I would like to see Eight Below, Glory Road, and I know DD wants to see The Wild. What is Annapolis? Off to look on Rotten Tomatoes...
