OM - how cute is that??? Nice picture. What cruise was that on? DCL? Can't wait til it's our turn to put them on.

Yup. It was the Wonder. May of 2003. Actually, THANKFULLY, they got all new lifejackets the last time the Magic was in dry dock. The new ones are more flexible and don't push your head forward as much. (plus they are newer so they don't smell like 100,000,000 have worn them.....ok, by now maybe they do!)

Good news for Kristin - she got a call from Boeing for a job interview. She's doing a phone interview on Tuesday so all PD would be appreciated! It's working for Boeing at NASA in Houston!!!! She is so excited - I really hope that she gets it. She wants to cruise with us - and is planning on saying she's out of the country until 06/03/06 - which is true.....

Going to go over some interviewing techniques with her this weekend.......

I used to ask my "preacher" brother that same question. His answer was somewhere along the lines of "It wasn't the same "wine" that we would drink now".

I also heard that they HAD to drink wine b/c their water was so horrible it would have made them sick. If that's the case though, how come native Mexicans don't get sick drinking their water?

Oh yeah....that's the most fun part of the whole cruise!!

Yup, it SURE is. In fact, this time, right after the life boat drill, I'm going to guest services, and I'm going to ask if I can disembark.....I'll tell them that all the fun is over, and I want to go home!!! NOT!

It IS a fun part of the cruise though b/c as soon as that is over the REAL fun starts.

And, newbies....don't worry about looking stupid in those life vests.....
I want to reasure you about that....
I know you will THINK you look really really really dumb....
Well, you do. But so will the other 2,500 passengers on board!!!!!

OK - last bit of news.....

This weekend is Frances' last hurrah as President of the WV State Medical Association Alliance.

Frances is one smart lady! I'm sure she was an awesome President!! The WVSTAA will have big shoes to fill!!!

Wait a sec....if Frances was the President, do we need to call her Mrs. President? What does that make you? First Dude?

Speaking of Presidents I have a cute story from work yesterday. It was take your child to work day and we had 6 kids come in (ages 8-11 I think). The Director of Sales was in charge of it (his son was one of the 6 kids) and one of the things he had planned was for them to meet with the company president to hear all about the company (privately owned and has been around for 125+ years). So he goes to get the kids and tells them that have to behave because they are going to see the President and one little girl looks at him and says "George Bush?" Okay probably funnier when it actually happened but I thought it was cute.

Well, well, well. Mike gets up early do write....but today he was catching up and posting on the DIS. It's been a few days in a row now....do we have a convert?

btw, last night he said "there are TWELVE pages since I last checked." And I said "It won't take you that long." And he went through them. Of course, he let me know it took him 30 minutes to do it!!

Happy Friday everyone. I have nothing planned for today, so am going to sit back, watch Survivor, then read a book between having the HVAC guy tell us how much our new ac will cost and a siding guy telling us how much he'll charge for new siding. Hopefully the new James Patterson book will take me away from that for awhile, then on start on the next 'Shopaholic' book. Can't think of a good kareoke song right now.
