The boards are slow, we are watching apprentice and tivoing 24.

Julia - How did you like the outcome? I think Charmaine needed to go. And Tarek(?) was not "the genius" that the reports say. He may be a genius on books, but common sense and just normal "life", he's out there. I was pretty happy with the outcome. And boy oh boy, Lee, I think we will see him in a politician's role one day just like "the Donald" said. It'll be interesting to see the mix that happens next week. You know they can't leave a team to 2 players. Who's your vote for the winner? It's getting down to the wire.

Good morning everyone!!!!
Hey Stace - I wasn't up last night. Yeeehaawww!!! I guess I was too tired to even have my mind racing. Got up early to make hubby's lunch. See, what a nice wife I am...;) I will try not to go back to sleep, but it's going to be hard.

Boards seem really fast right now. I think they need to add a little "juice" to the system again. Too many of us on here at night.

AJ had his first lacrosse game last night. Mine, too. He did really good. Hustling out there for that ball. He's got the skinniest legs, wait til you see them.

Tonight is baseball. We have a game every night this week. And Saturday we have a lacrosse jamboree. Oh, boy can't wait. We don't get a break until May 11th. OMG!

We had actually gone about 3 hours north (right into tornado country for Mississippi) You could hear them everywhere. VERY SCARY! It was the five of us, my BF and her DH with their 3 young kids, the BF's BIL and his family of 2 young kids and very preg wife, and BF's parents in a maybe 1500 sq ft house surrounded by tall pine trees! So, yeah, I know why Andrew is fearful of dark clouds. I thought that maybe he was too young to remember. Guess not.

Poor litle one - that is scarey..... :scared1:

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!! You guys look like you're having the BEST time!
I was just thinking "I wish I could be there with them"....but it won't be long now!

I was at PetsMart the other day and decided to get Ash a new toy. They had the cutest little Hedgehog......but I couldn't stand the thought that he'd be nibbling on it....so he just got another sheepskin blob.

Oh we did we did we did - we had the bestest time....

And I am sure Hedgie thanks you for not encouraging the nibbling on HH toes....

Poor thing!
We have never gone through anything like you guys have, but for some reason, Jared and Jordan have always hated storms. Maybe it's the loud noise the creek makes when it's flooding, I don't know.
But I always used to play music for them when it stormed and they didn't want to go to bed. If we'd had good headphones back then, I would have let them use those.

I love thunderstorms.....esp. with lightening shows...always have - wonder why - but there is nothing better than sitting and watching the clouds roll in...Of course, our summer storms are normaly "safe" although we do have tragic lightening strikes at time. Katrina - hurricanes, another matter indeed...'

For those with kids scared of thunder - how are they with fireworks????

Amber was there, she was taking the picture. Some nice man came by and said "You need someone else in the picture".......and Amber thought HE was going to stand there with Sherry, Jordan and I! :rotfl: :lmao: And she's not even blonde!!:rotfl2:
But he took the camera, and took a shot of all of us....it just is not a very flattering picture of us Moms.....well, I'll speak for myself...I look HORRIBLE!
But then....it's my own fault. At least I AM getting my hair cut before the cruise.
I can put that picture on here, though. At least they come out small.......;)

Look at the smiles......You also were having a good time... :goodvibes
My hair (at least bangs) will be cut before the cruise as well.....And Sam will get a little sleep.....

I'm sure Karen (OM) is right about the edit. If you edit right away (like you see a typo or something or just want to add a top shout out) you don't get the edit message. However if you go back later you do. :)

Well -- all the family left today and I ended up sending our little dog home with my mom and dad. ...

I had decided to leave him here, but the little boy that usually does stuff for us is going to be out of town. Both the kennals I looked at were just too cold. The dogs are kept in small cages all the time except for a 15 min. walk a day.

You're lucky that your parents can take care of your little guy while you're gone! I bet he'll be spoiled rotten by the time you pick him up! ;)

It's tough to find a really good kennel. Uno's 14, and he's stayed in his share, but we've always made sure he'd be well taken care of. The owners of the one we use now are Lab breeders (Uno's a Lab), and I think they love him almost as much as we do. That makes it easier to leave him there. And with him being somewhat infirm now (he has the canine version of MS and has trouble getting up sometimes), it's good to know that they are gentle and patient with him.

We had some bad weather come through earlier as well. My DS3.5 is having problems everytime a dark cloud comes into the sky. He goes into near hysterics and keeps saying, "mama, bad storm coming; bad storm coming." I do my best to convince him that it is nothing but some rain. It breaks my heart. We haven't had much rain at all since Katrina came through in August, so maybe he has been holding it in and the rain reminds him. OR he just really doesn't like the rain! :worried:

Poor thing! I can only imagine how the hurricane must terrify young kids (hey, Andrew scared the life out of me, and I was an adult!) - no doubt any storm will remind him of it for a while. Big :grouphug: for you both!

The top is "almost" the right shade...just a touch more pink to it than the skirt, but it's close enough....and will look great, I think, thanks!

After a glass of wine, no one will be able to tell the difference anyway!!! :)

Where we take Mowana (the same place we took Maggie) is wonderful. Well, it's better for Mo. The lady there never wants to give him back! She goes on and on about what a sweet kitty he is and how much she loves him. She tells the stories about how he's out and about a LOT (technically he's supposed to get 2 10 minute sessions of play time, but I think he gets HOURS!) She was AMAZED last time when we picked him up that Mo LICKED HER FACE. She said she's never had a cat do that to her! :earseek:

Of course, we can't leave him home b/c he saves the "dear sweet kitty" routine for the kennel lady. For us it's the "biting their ankles and breaking their stuff" routine!
