Amanda,

I think Pam probably answered your questions about OKW but I'll put my 2 cents in too. We stayed in a 1-bedroom villa in Sept. '04 that was close to the hospitality house. It was a great location. The main pool was closed for rehab then but we were close to one of the other pools. We ALWAYS took the buses & never had a problem. We were the last pick-up in the morning so that was nice. We never had to wait long. We were the last drop-off in the evenings but that was ok.

From this map http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/okwmap.htm, it looks like we were in building 18. It was a little walk to the hospitality house but VERY doable. I think it looks longer on the map than it really was. We did it a few times. We were right across from the bus stop. I would definitely request that location again.

Ang

Thanks Ang!
I always feel funny about making room requ, but I did call today and requested a room near the hospitaliy house, on ground level. So, we'll see what that brings....

No reservations for JBs, but I will call down to let them know we are coming and to find out if they have rock shrimp. I will need to know who is coming.

Early is better on Friday night. It will also let people get back to their hotels before to late.

Is 4 PM okay?

Lisa is currently scheduled for the gym so she and Sharon will not be there.

We will not be there we will still be driving down beside Aubrey won't like eating dinner in the middle of the afternoon :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I was wondering where you were!! You have lots of posting to do to catch up: We each need to post at least 19 per day. :rotfl2:

Yes, it is the "NEW AND IMPROVED" Amandas law:sunny:

Really maybe they upped the time from 40 seconds to 5 minutes.....we may be overloading their server, :rotfl:

That's you with all your thank you's, I'm trying to behave and not post more than once every 40 seconds :rotfl2:

Greetings, just checking in with everyone. Seems like the post count keeps going up and up! Come on 52706!

Want to say welcome to the new people. I am Paul (32) and my wife Rebecca (27) are taking our second Disney Cruise. Our 2-year old gets a week at WDW while we are on the ship...(ahh...relaxation!) She is now acting like a 2-year old all the time. I am usually in lurker mode, but I will try to post more to help us make 52706.

I ran a marathon yesterday morning. It was part of the Albuquerque Tricentennial events. Started out with a balloon mass ascention which was cool, but then the rest of it could have been better. It got hot out there and water stops were about 2-2.7 miles apart. For the Disney Marathon/Half Marathon water stops are about 1 mile apart. But I still finished the 26.2 miles and am able to walk today, so I guess it could have been worse! My official time was 4:43.

Paul
Way to go Paul!!

Hi Sandi - I was thinking of keeping the car until Saturday morning, too. How do you get back to the hotel from Budget then? Do you have to take a cab? Maybe both of our DHs can share a cab back to the hotel. We're both on the 10:00 shuttle, right? Or will you be returning the car?

BTW - what time is everyone meeting at JB's?

MY DH will gladly give anyone a ride that morning...

What's that number 52606? That's over 14,800 posts in the next 30 odd days. That's over 490 posts per day!!!

IMHO is we get anywhere CLOSE to that this is going to be an EXTREMELY boring thread. I, personally, like to follow what's going on in ppl's lives---laugh with them, cry with them, pray for them....but with over 490 posts a day there will be too much to even wade through (especially if the server is as slow as it is today) and all the parts that make this group special (the bonds of friendship) will be lost just to get to a certain magic number.

Hey, I may be odd man out thinking like this, but I dread the thought of losing the friendships just because shameless post boosting take precedent over relationships.

Stepping down off my soapbox now.

Just think you will miss the name calling posts then!! :teeth: :teeth:
Still want to form a lasting bond??? :confused3 :thumbsup2

I agree with OM too as I could never keep up with that amount of posts in a day and prepare for the cruise and have a life!!!!!! :teeth:

Nope, I agree too!!! If you go waaaaaaaaayyyy back to page 2314, you'll find the first mention of "52706"... might have sounded like a fun idea at the time, but I think too lofty a goal to be realistic about without driving each other, and ourselves, crazy.

I just went all the way back to that page, and I guess that I was the one who started the 52706 craze...I think that this chatty group will be able to hit that number. But I also don't think that we should rush it simply by inflating our numbers with mindless blabber. We should go with meaningful blabber! :thumbsup2

After all, its not like this thread will go away after the cruise. We will have even more to talk about after we spend a week together! :sunny:

That time would be great for us early-to-bed people. There will be 3 of us planning to go to JB's. Will that give us time to check into the Radisson first and then drive to JB's? Anyone know what time is check-in? I didn't see it on their website.

Sandy - both times that we've stayed at the Radisson we were able to check in when we got there which I think was about noon both times.

Good point OHM.
Like telling everyone about the robin that built a nest on DH's truck tire? Shows we haven't been driving it much lately, but needed it on Saturday. Had to move the nest with an egg in it. Might as well throw it out; she won't come back now.

In light of all the marathon talk, here is my 'profound' thought for my 3500th post...

The only way you'll EVER see ME run 26.2 miles is if I am being chased 26.1 miles!

And, while I'm at it, another :bday: to Ray... because he has been trying to keep his b-day 'under the radar'... he hasn't been on the boards long enough to realize that EVERY birthday gets party: around here.

Tooooo freaking funny girl! You are hilarious!

scuba diver said:
It's getting tough to keep up with the board between the number of posts and the slow server.

Excuses excuses! Sounds like someones trying to get out of 19 ppd!!!:rotfl: And that does not stand for post partum depression!
