Weather is calm here tonight. That bad weather you saw Diana must have been slightly northwest of here. So glad tomorrow is Friday. Have a busy weekend. Charley has another overtime night shift on Saturday and I have to go into the office for several hours during the day. No seeing each other that day. Ashley has to go to a mission trip, so everyone but Dale will be busy. I have to take off so much next week

Say a little prayer for Charley this weekend. He is having to go back into the Doctor on Monday. What happens at this visit will determine if they decide to put in a pacemaker. He is on beta blockers right now, because when the did the tilt test about 6 weeks ago he got really ill. They will do the same test again and see if the medication is helping. If not, they want to do the pacemaker. So on Monday I am going with him on that and then Wednesday they are supposed to install the refrigerated air, Thursday am I have dental appointment and then Friday afternoon, both of my brothers are flying in. Busy week

Will think good thoughts Pam, yes that is a VERY busy weekend.

Emily's teacher is counting down the rest of the school year with the alphabet. Today is the letter A. So, there are only 26 more work (school) days until the cruise. :cheer2: Let the countdown begin!

I had to go look at a calendar as you kind of scared me with that number. I have an incredible amount to do at work before we go away, and most of it has to be done in the next few weeks. I'm going to be one worn out dude when we actually go.

I haven't heard Emily complain about school. I think she's too young still. The teacher has a fun activity planned each day based on the letter. Today they'll be making paper airplanes then going outside to fly them.

That is a very cute idea. What grade is your daughter in? I'm about to graduate with a major in elementary education. I just got a job as a second grade teacher! But that seems like something you could do probably up to 3rd grade!

My daughter is in K. Congrats on your graduation! Thank you for becoming an educator!!! My parents were both in education & I probably would have gone in to it had I not known the pay. Sometimes I consider a career change.

Hello everyone! It's someone new... well sort of.... This will be our 4th Disney cruise and we are just now checking in on the boards. I know.... BAD BAD!!

It has been about 2 1/2 years since I was one the boards I guess and our last cruise was May '03. I have been scanning and I recognized Verandaman from our last cruise.... We did the wine tasting in one of the Cat 1s.... the couple from England who got married on the cruise hosted as I remember...

Andy, you also gave us a great reccomendation for a resturant on the way home -- Great rock shrimp!!!

So anyway.... WEEEER'EEEER BAAAAACK!!!!

My crew consists of DH (42 going on 14 :cool1: ), DD (13 going on 30 :cheer2: ) & DD (7 & still a very sweet child princess: ) and me (ageless  )

So, without me having to read all ONE MILLION :rotfl: posts... can anyone catch me up?? Any new rules or hints I shouldn't miss?? Whats new???

Keep blabbin'. Remember, we've got to raise that overall post count. How else will we make it to 52706 before the cruise???

I'll nudge you awake when your dinner comes. Unless it's lobster night. And I may just let you sleep through and eat your share! :)

That's funny. Both of my parents were teachers too, and I probably would have gone into it unless I heard them complain about things....mostly political things within the schools.

So I went into nursing. I'd say 50% of the girls in my nursing class has parents who were teachers.....like we all wanted to go into some sort of service area, but NOT education!

Turns out there are the same problems in nursing (and you do'nt get summers off---or weekends---or nights!)

Welcome aboard!

Sadly Andy won't be joining us on this cruise. He cancelled many many months ago. I believe he is now cruising a few weeks earlier. You will however be cruising with what I feel is a great group of DISers.

To meet everyone click on the May 27th link in my signature. That will bring you to a web page my DH (MarkRG) and I have set up for the cruise. It should bring you pretty much up to date on what is happening. It isn't too late to add your family to the gallery or get buttons or be included in the DIS navigator we are putting out (deadline is May 7th). Full details are on the web page. If you want to be included e-mail me at marygums@monorailgreen.info and please put May 27th in the subject as we are doing this for an October cruise as well.

This will be our 8th DCL cruise. Mark and I have no kids, but we have Bear :)

Again - welcome!

I never heard my parents complain too much about the politics. I do remember being home from college one weekend and a parent called to talk to my mom. It was a Fri. night. My parents had gone out and this parent was miffed that my mom wasn't available to talk to her.

My first job out of college was making more money than my mom after 20 years of teaching. That's just sad!
