Well, here I am at Lisa's new Gym with my new birthday toy - a laptop!!!!!


Jim and I went out to dinner and then made a Costco's run before heading back to the Gym to play "dueling PC's". This is great. Now, maybe I can keep up a little better with all of your chatting.

Hey, Jim and Irene, don't you guys SLEEP? I can see Jim at dinner tonight, nodding in his entree.

Irene, where did you dive with the heavy current? Kevin & Alicia have a dive planned for Thursday before the cruise, off the coast near Boyton Beach (I think).

My staying awake at dinner may be an issue which is why I don't ever remember a desert buffet.

All diving off the SE coast is drifting diving.

Tonight is my first night at Lisa's new gym. I came over with Sharon so I could take her out for dinner on her birthday. Fitting how it ends up at the gym.

Hi Virgil! Had to post and make us all hungry, didn't you? If I ever get to eat at Palo more than once every two years or so, I might try something besides the filet, too! Hey, maybe this year!

Actually, I'm cruising again in September on the Mom's tour. I mentioned it to my daughter the other day and she said "I thought you were kidding about that!" I know I will miss my family, but won't it be great to cruise without worrying where your teen is and what they're up to? And not being worried while she's scuba diving with Dad. I think that's going to be my favorite part.

Wow... I think that we are by NO means the DIS "Blabbermouths"... just happened to hit the 'new posts' button a minute ago... top thread (newest post) was the 'Ladies only DISMeet' thread... which was started on 3/1, and already has 18,000+ posts... and they say WEEEEEEEEEEEE talk to much!!!! I think not!!!

Did you happen to look at any of the posters names? They might look familiar.

Yes we each have our own laptop - Jim's is his from work. I only have a desktop computer at work. I don't have to travel with work (YEA - been there done that), so it is not really necessary for me to have a laptop.

Yes, the new gym is very nice. It is much larger with a lot more equipment, coaches, space, etc - and the ability to train girls to the highest levels. They have 5 gymnasts at Nationals this weekend. That is why Lisa and I make the trek each night after school so she can train here from 5pm - 9pm each night.

I did say the laptop was my birthday gift. It is wonderful. Jim does an excellent job on gifts - GPS, Booksfree.com and now a laptop. YEA JIM!!!!

It's quieted down some outside. I started freaking out because I could hear the tornado alarms going off. But, the weather radio was only sending alerts for severe thunderstorms, as was the local tv station. Luckily I happened to be reading the paper and read an article that mentioned that they've changed to alarms to also go off during severe thunderstorms too.
