Jim or Ray ... another prime rib question. I looked at the standing rib roasts at Costco & saw some small ones. Do I leave the bone on it or have the butcher take it off??? I'm SERIOUSLY considering doing one for Easter. Hopefully it won't be $40 down the drain.

Angie

Leave the bone on. Lots of flavor in the bone. Also, my dog likes the bones.

I HATE Peeps!!!! Ick!!!

Rumor has it that the Easter Bunny is bringing new snorkel gear to my house, along with a few other things that will be helpful on the cruise. With one kid in braces and one that needs more sugar like he needs another bellybutton (ask Jim & Sharon), EB keeps candy to a minimum.

Of course the Easter Bunny does not come to my house. My mother killed it 40 years ago.

Seriously, my mother killed the Easter bunny. When I was little she was driving us home on Saturday night before Easter morning. Just down the street from our house a bunny ran out and she hit it. Dead. My father proudly announced Mom had killed the Easter bunny.

It has never been back. My mother, the Easter bunny killer.

Bathing suits - I am with Sandi, comfy at the beach. I wear the LE 2 piece, shorts and top. The shorts are long, 5-6" and not a fashion statement. But I am comfy and covered. (Caution - don't get swim shorts w/o the attached panty).
Plus with the shorts I only need a tee for a cover up.

Sue

Sue your suit sounds like one of mine. The swim shorts with the pany inside and then a tank top. Just put a t-shirt over it and I'm good to go. My other suit has a swim skirt.

Jim... you're almost to a milestone post of your own... better start thinking of something profound. (A bit more profound than "My mother killed the Easter Bunny.")

I can just imagine little Matt and Lisa coming home from school asking Mr. Scuba why the Easter bunny goes to ALLLLLLL of their friends' houses, but not theirs....

"well, kids,....... GRANDMA killed the Easter bunny!"

It's a Skortini. And it says I'll look like her if I wear it. Not.

Stacey, I like that suit ... very cute!

Off to do more cleaning. I was taking a break to pay bills. Better get back at it since DH is on his way home. Cleaning house all day was not my idea of a vacation day from work!

But LE did not have GREEN... :teeth:

Can't stand peeps, either! yuck - No black licorice jelly beans or any marshmellow filled eggs - I'll take the Reese's eggs...

The Easter bunny needs our help - he's bringing an Astros hat for Mike - Maggie was hoping for a Cubs hat but, mom didn't notify the Easter Bunny soon enough to place the order on the Major League Baseball website - and mom isn't giving up her REALLY COOL Cubs hat!!! So, she'll get her hat later and get the Narnia video instead...

John will hopefully stop by Minute Maid park tomorrow and pick up the Cubs/Astros series tickets - save a boatload in convenience charges...When you're only paying $5 adult/$1 kids tickets - unfortunately, if you order online the convience charges tend to be more than the ticket price...My Easter Basket!!!

The Easter Bunny runs out of candy by the time he gets to our house. One year the eggs were filled with clues to the next egg ending in their basket-hidden in the car...

This year - I think the Easter Bunny will be let loose will a ball of yarn all over the house and into the yard ending with the basket...

I'm hoping to get lots of cleaning done in the morning then some ME time in the afternoon. I'll be working in Emily's classroom in the morning but that shouldn't take long. I had intended to pick up Emily & a friend from aftercare but found out another friend will be there tomorrow too. So I'll leave her there to play for a few hours & have a few more ME hours. That sounds horrible but I bet she'll cry when I pick her up. These 2 other girls go to different schools & aren't at day care very often. They will all be back together this summer & can't wait!

Ang

I spent most of the morning at the school in a meeting about Fulton doing away with all the band, music, foreign language and many more programs, never got much else accomplished today!!!

Sure hope that doesn't happen!

We are not doing a lot of candy this year either. I did most of my Easter shopping while I was at WDW. The kids are each getting a $25 WDW gift card, Ashley is getting a little tiara and matching hair pins, Dale is getting a book from WDW on hidden mickeys, they are each getting a rice krispie treat. We usually do money eggs. Find all the hidden change and dollar bills and but them in the eggs for the kids to find. It seems like evey year we are getting ready for a trip to WDW or a cruise and this helps add to the kids money funds. They each got a check from my mom today for Easter for $25.00. My mom doesn't live close, and she really doesn't get to do much for the kids, so she likes to send them "mad money" her words.

Had to work for four hours today and came home to a huge mess. Even though the housekeeper is here, Charley cleaned the sun room to make room for the piano we received today. My housekeeper is going to purchase the bedroom furniture that we have had in the garage, so now Charley is cleaning out the garage. We really need to have a garage sale.

For you Crocs experts -- where can I find the Nile version. My dillards only has the Beach and the thong style one. I think I would like the Nile version better. Any suggestions.

Plus with the kids' braces, MOST of the Easter candy is off limits anyway....and they aren't HUGE fans of chocolate. So guess who is going to eat all of their stuff!!! :earseek: !!!
Ah come on!! I have come to realize that you're weird (takes one to know one) but, now you're telling us that your kids don't like chocolate?????? :rolleyes1

What did you do to those poor children????? :confused3

Yeah, I'm not for blanket amnesty either, but I don't think rounding them all up and deporting them is the way to go either. I'm not sure how this will play out. Seal the borders and work towards getting the ones who are here now through the citizenship process, maybe???

I DO know that if it wasn't for the Mexican immigrants, there would be a lot of things that didn't get done in this country. At least they are willing to WORK....and work HARD. I'm sick of seeing our American born teens acting like it's the end of the world if they have to do something....and do it well. Seems like they all want to be paid lots of money for the least amount of work possible.

Heck, I'd like that too, but I'm realistic that if I want lots of money, I'll have to work hard (or marry well! :lmao: :lmao: )

btw, our siding job is starting Monday and we were "warned" that it would more than likely be an all Mexican crew (legal, of course)....but they did say that they were hard pressed to find enough Americans willing to do the work and who weren't all mired down in unions. :(

We came here legally 12 years ago, it took me 10 years to become a citizen while paying taxes and plenty of $$$$$ to become legal thru the system and I think it would be very unfair to the people here legally to just give a blanket amnesty and would encourage more illigals to come. Yes allow them to pay for the privelledge, pay there taxes and not live off our welfare systems!!!
