Well - we made it back - got in a couple of hours ago. Trying to finish up getting organzied before Frances and I go back to work - and Lauren to school tomorrow. We had a great time - just too short. Frances commented at how short the cruise was (this is from the wife who had to be begged to go on our first 3 day)...

I gave up trying to keep up with the pages - as it just wasn't going to happen. We had terrible internet access on the ship - and the problems continued at SSR - we had to be given an access code to gain access - (NO - before the comments start - it wasn't because of the Mac....LOL ) They have apparently been having troubles for a week or so.

I'll try to give a more complete report later - just wanted to stop by and say Hi!

How can anyone not like seafood????:lmao: I live in the desert and still like seafood.

Have you ever tried crab tacos w/avocado?? yummmmm

That does sound yummy, I made crabcakes for dinner tonight, something I have never made before but decided to try!!

It is has been a busy couple of days. This is the first time I checked in since Saturday morning. Saturday was Matt's birthday. He finally got his official set of Jeep keys. He does not have a full license so I'm still in control.

The helicopter lesson was a great big hit.

It was suspose to be about 2 hours long, but ended up being 4 hours. The instructor spent a lot of time with Matt going over all the equipment. Matt got to help with the pre-flight check list. They were in the air for 60 minutes and Matt got to fly half that time. It was a pretty cool experience.

We tried to meet up with Virgil since they were in WDW, but our schedule got messed up. We did make it to the Pie Festival, but got rained on. It did not stop Matt and Lisa from eating. They eat pie for 2 hours.

Big fun.

Since I'm posting pictures let me show one from last week's breakfast with Lisa.

This is why I live in Florida. When you can run over and have breakfast on the beach before school and see a sunrise like this, life is good.

how were they?
are you going to submit the recipe to Mr. Ray?
I love crabcakes. Have never made them though. Would be interested to try.

Hi guys! We're home now too. Had a great time, excellent food, outstanding service....but I didn't win. Anything. Oh well.

I'm ready to cruise now. The toilets in our room flushed with the same force as the ones on the ship, so I was reminded of cruising every time. :teeth: I just wish I could have a room on the ship as nice as the suite they gave us at the Bellagio. Amazing.

Anyway...I had way too little sleep and am going to bed. Yes, it's only 5 pm here.

Hope to catch up and chat tomorrow.

And a U-T.O.P. ! I guess I'm lucky at something...however meager it may be............

No, I love the choice of a birthday present. However, I need to get a case to carry it in. I didn't want to carry the new laptop around in my arms with all of the other things I have to carry and have any kind of accident. Jim brought an old bag home from the ofice for me to use, so I will take the laptop with me tomorrow to the gym.

Glad you love it and now you can do your 19 posts a day :lmao:

Cool pictures, Jim....looks like a great birthday for Matt, very cool. Please just don't let him tell Jared about it.
Nice sunrise with Lisa, too. I'm jealous.

Thank you, by the way...got your mail. :thumbsup2

I just got off the phone with a friend whose family took a cruise last week (non-Disney  ). They stopped at Costa Maya - she said it was fine, but she didn't understand why - when they were getting back on the ship, the crew insisted everyone clean their hands thoroughly with hand sanitizer AND that the crew were all wearing latex gloves. :rotfl2:

So I told her the story about not being allowed to donate blood for a year.......... :scared1:

They usually have them right to the right as you board in the clubs.

So since everyone has been in a chatty mood lately I thought I would throw out a cruise related question.

Part of the DIS navigator is going to be a calendar with what ports we'll be in etc. Right now we only have the DIS meet planned for Saturday at 3pm. If there is any other planned event the group wants to have now would be the time to decide it so that we could include it in the calendar.

I know at one time we talked about doing a group photo in the atrium like we did on the 10 day. Do we still want to do that? Anyone up for organizing it and picking a day?

Any other group event?

Let the planning begin. Deadline would be the same as for the buttons - May 7th.

I actually heard something interesting about vodka on the radio a few weeks ago. Apparently, if you take cheap vodka and run it through a Brita filter, it comes out tasting like Grey Goose. A friend of mine told me last week that she'd tried it and it works! (Not that I drink a lot of vodka, but might be a useful tidbit of information for someone out there!)

--Samantha

Nope, they did that today too, and it did improve but only marginally. They ran it through 6 Brita filters. Proved that it would have been cheaper to buy the good stuff then all the water filters. (I love my Grey Goose!) :thumbsup2

Hi All,

Just hanging here. I have a brutal sinus headache. Thank goodness DH is taking care of bedtime with the boys. I am not long for this evening. That means that I will have to watch the Sopranos on TIVO tomorrow. No way I could stay awake for that.

Welcome home Virgil & Stacey. l glad you got there and back safely.

Stacey what do you play when you go to Vegas? Tables, or slots? I prefer the Roulette table. I like black jack but they say that that doesn't have good odds. Whatever!!!
