Good morning---sorry, good afternoon everyone. It's raining here in NY and all sports are cancelled. YEAH!!!

Last night DH and I went to the International Car show at the Javits Center in Manhattan. It was really cool. The Jeep display was typical Jeep. It had a road course that you could go on with the instructor driving. You would go up this really steep hill and the Jeep would go sideways, then over rocks and bumps. DH said that's the way they used to demostrate cars. Now they don't even give away pens or anything. DH is looking into getting a new truck. He's narrowed it down to either the Toyota Tacoma or the Nissan Frontier. Anybody have any comments? Anyway, we had a great time. Just the two of us. Got a babysitter for the boys cause we would'nt have been able to concentrate with them there. And then to top off the evening, we went to the dinner afterward for something to eat. Oh boy. We were out and AWAKE at 11:00pm. That's a feat all in itself.

A couple of pages back you all were talking about see "adult" movies. Anything over a PG-13 rating. Well, I'm taking the boys to see The Wild today along with my neighbors 3 kids. Then tonight all the neighbors are coming over for pizza and some spirits. We have a great neighborhood. Sometimes we look at eachother and say, "We are spending WAY too much time together". But all in all, we have a ball together.

So, after reading page after page on this board, I better get going and take a shower, that's right I said take a shower, and get ready. It's 1:16pm and I am still in my PJs. I am totally lounging today. I would love to stay in my PJs ALL day, but I think the kids would kill eachother.

So, TTFN and I'll try to catch up with you later.

DH has a Toyota Tacoma which he bought for work, this is his second one and he really likes them, he does a huge amount of mileage in them and they tend to last long. We may even drive down in it for the cruise as the gas Price is exhaubatant and the Hummer guzzles the stuff!!! We go on there off road trips and they do what the Jeep did and is really fun.

OK, I'm heading into the shower before the EPA comes a knockin'.

Just trying to do my posting part. Can anyone figure out the average posts-per-day per person we need to hit 52706? Come on--where's those Math majors???

I'm sure we do more than that and Stacey will be back soon and then we have a better chance of hitting it :rotfl2:

Scuba Diver,

I know we are planning to bring some 'medicine" with us. :thumbsup2

DH has been threatening to bring the blender so he can make his own 'frozen meds'

Hey gang,

We are booked at the Radison the night before.... Anyone else going to be there?

Last cruise the DCL gang had taken it over... some woman asked me if we were a convention... I said 'No, just rabid DCL addicts!' So will there be a party by the pool this cruise??? :cool1:

We are booked there for the Friday night but will be driving down from ATL so will get there late evening, hopefully around 8pm.
We are leaving the car there and catching a later shuttle so the kids can spend the morning at the pool.

Almost 90 minutes later and I'm all caught up - Today's agenda - Register Maggie for Fall Soccer...10:00 Volleyball game and then a 2:00 appointment for Mike at the middle school try out various band instruments...His preferences: Trombone, Trumpet, and Sax...

It's a different world from when I was in school...They have individual instrument class during the school day - practice rooms, and over 300 kids in the middle school band with 3 band directors...140 kids in the beginning band....

The director strives for a balance of sound...wow! novel concept...not all flutes and clarinets...

They need 26 trombones... 26....yikes!!!

I thought we had a big beginning band, but your is bigggg. After 6th grade, our band always drops in size at the middle school. You are very lucky that they have indivual instrument class, Good luck with his choices

Hanging out waiting to take DS to his baseball game, it was delayed 2 hours so starts at 3pm and he needs to be there at 2.15 for warm up, of course he doesn't want to go!!!

We will be there!! There were a lot of us that stayed there last time we cruised as well. We all sat outside with drinks and the kids swimming and running around till late.

I just finished Takes Manhattan and requested Ties the Knot. I don't know what book I'll be bringing on the cruise, yet. The library just put a bunch of romance novels on the sale rack. I picked up a few of those (no charge, perk for working at the library); haven't read a good smutty romance lately. Those would be good for the cruise; just read them and toss them (in the trash, not overboard) when I'm done.

oh no, don't toss them - let's trade!!!

:cool2: :rockband:Happy Birthday, Matt! :rockband: :cool2:

Couldn't do the usual smileys for a 16 year old boy. Kevin is saving a song on his Ipod for Alicia's Birthday next year. Ringo singing "you're 16, you're beautiful, and you're mine". I hope that works out for him.

Wow, just five weeks until we cruise! I'm not ready. Better get busy, I guess!

Nice mellow day here, a little overcast (it won't rain), no wind. Good thing, we're having a barbecue at the dance studio this afternoon with the team.

Pam, thinking about you guys this week. Hope Charley is OK.

We'll be at the Radisson, too!!! :cheer2:

o.k. - off to the middle school and instrument try-outs - my baby boy is getting ready for middleschool... :sad1:

DH has 4 1/2 hours of school left - this has to be just about the longest 4 hours of the class of '06 life... :rotfl2:

Champagne and Banfi are chillin' as we speak!!! :cool1:
