Hey eveyone it is me. Just dropping by to say Hi.

There is no one on the teen board except my brother who is pirating all the tops we try to get, he is just to fast for us.So I'm not going to be on the teen board for a while and see what he does to get a top with actually posting. But me and Kt have a plan to stop him. :teeth: Us saying KT, Nick, and Lisa (me).pirate: He is such a pirate.

Lisa
And that is coming from someone that "knows" him!!! :lmao:

You could always try hog tying him up!!! :stir:

Favourite Resort Hotels - In response to the earlier posts - here is my list of preferences - for dinner - lunch is a different list.

Victoria and Albert's -- (well, duh)

Artiste Point

Boma

California Grill

Maya Grill

Narcoossee

O'hanas

Hoop De Doo Review

Cape May

Pop Century - kinda fun at Mom's and when it is 10:00 at night...

The others either we have not been to, or they do not make the list for dinner.......

Now for the small print - this list is not intended to offend anyone, unless it does and in that case you are taking life to seriously, and we will be glad to revise our opinion when we sit down with you at dinner and enjoy a meal - oh, at your expense of course.

More small print - above disclosure not approved by management, disboards or the tag fairy. All opinions are those of the poster, unless they are refuted in the future.

Mary asked the question? Would you go on Med DCL?

Well, I don't know really if I would do this because I have been over to Europe a few times and I think being from US it would be better to travel in the countries to see what Europe is really like but for someone that is from Europe I think that it would be a different kind of cruise for them for sure.

But really to spend that much money on air tickets and then cruise plus other money for spending that you would need, WOW thats a lot of $$$$ being spent for not really seeing that much of Europe.
JMO- I still love DCL!!! But in this case I don't think even this trip is really going to be for most people who even like us who are die hard DCL fans.

PS you would probably most likely see this "green chiles" sold in your grocery store only they are called anaheim peppers...at least that is how they term them here in GA...

ANG you guys okay? and Julia? and Everyone else in GA? We just had a rough spell and were under a tornado watch

We are good here, just rained all day yesterday but that was pretty much it, hope you are all well!!!

Lots of rain here in the Atlanta area last night. Some minor flooding. I can't speak for Angie or Julia's area, but sounds like most of metro Atlanta is fine.

I heard about one house fire they believe might have been started by lightning. Other than that, the big news around here seems to be the amount of fatal shootings going on the past several days. What's up with that? :sad2:

We also just had tons of rain.
The crime is slowly getting out of hand and that is all that is on the news these days!!! :confused3

Julia, If you have today's AJC, Page B2 (Metro) has an article "$1 million doesn't help on midterms" - about the UGA freshman from Dunwoody who won the $1m playing poker in Monte Carlo. My daughter "Rachel LeClair" is quoted in it! We had to laugh because the 2 quotes made her sound like a bit of an *airhead*!! :lmao:

Well, looking at an inside cabin for three people, the 11 day Med is less than we spent on the 10 day cruise last year by about 25%. But then, the airfare for that was quite a bit cheaper, and we had a veranda. Just dreamin'.

So now that the info is out for the Med cruises next Summer who is booking one? We're taking a pass.

We are passing too, we are thinking of going to Fiji with my friends who live in Australia as it is her 50th, they are joining us for the cruise in Alaska so I'm sure we will be making some plans then.

YIKES!! Just did the rough figures for the 4 of us in a cat 6 (that many days without a verandah would drive mike batty!)

EB transatlantic...over 12K
10 night Med...12.6K
11night Med 13.1K
WB transatlantic...again, over 12K

I'd LOVE to do it (either the 10 or 11 night b/c of the ports---kids have studied a LOT of these places) but I think it's out of our price range....

especially with the new siding coming.

Can't put a Med cruise on a home equity loan, can you??? :lmao:

Haven't checked the prices but if these are them I will be sticking to our plans of spending a month travelling Europe for a lot less using our timeshares and hotels. I spent a year travelling there when I finished school and been back a couple of times.

Pass for us, too. As someone said on a main thread - I could cruise the carribean an entire month. I'd consider a "gray haired" cruise on a riverboat or a barge like my parents booked for their 2nd europe cruise on the Seine river this summer. It's 50 cabins and all excursions are included for a bit less than Disney's rates.

I enjoy the Disney experience but, I'd rather branch out a bit if I were to sail in Europe. I never really considered a large ship for Europe - Alaska for that matter, either...

My parents cruised Russia last year, was old small boats with all excursions included and they loved it. They did a med cruise years and years ago and my mom was sea sick the whole 2 weeks, she will now only do river cruises, they have also did the Nile cruise some years back and loved that.

For that cash you could do a heck of a land package, even rent a place in Italy for two weeks. That is what I would like to do, just spend two weeks roaming a country.

We really want to do some sort of culinary tour through Tuscany (or something like that). Don't know that I'd want to leave the kids for 2 weeks yet... and Italy is somewhere that we'd like to explore without the kids. We'd also have to hit Sicily too... Ray's got long lost family there... it would be entertaining to say the least!!! I really want to go to Spain, as my grandfather came here (as a deck steward on a cruise ship... hence the 'cruising gene') from Barcelona.

Ray's friend called from her vacation in Florence today to find out which of two Italian cookbooks he'd rather have her bring home for him. (Just wait til she sees the roaming charges on THAT call!!)

I don't have the AJC but will see if I can find it online. I did hear about him though.

Came back to the room for a minute, and just got a call on my cell phone from DCL. They called to offer us a room on one of the Med cruises. I told her "No". So it's official....we're not going.

I am off to make dinner, DH has gone to pick DD up from gym, the hours have just flown while I sit here and catch up on posts!!!

Nothing like learning that harsh reality at a young age... no matter how many years of schooling and media training you have, reporters have a way of making the best of us sound like airheads... its what they do! :lmao:
