Sandi,

When did you guys live in Germany? We were there from Jan. 93 to July 95. Jake was born in Landstuhl. That'll be something else for him and Caleb to talk about.

So now that the info is out for the Med cruises next Summer who is booking one? We're taking a pass.

I was just thinking the same thing. We'd love to do it, but it's pretty pricey.

I wonder if it will go over as well as California did. If not, they might offer us good deals if we book on our cruise.

I wonder if those prices include airfare. If they do, it's not too bad, I guess.

Just a bit... a Cat 9 (what we've got for the upcoming cruise) would set us back over $10,000!!!!!!! :scared1: (not including airfare for 4)... I love Disney as much as the next person (well... as much as the next DIS'er), but could think of much better ways to spend that kind of cash!!!

YIKES!! Just did the rough figures for the 4 of us in a cat 6 (that many days without a verandah would drive mike batty!)

EB transatlantic...over 12K
10 night Med...12.6K
11night Med 13.1K
WB transatlantic...again, over 12K

I'd LOVE to do it (either the 10 or 11 night b/c of the ports---kids have studied a LOT of these places) but I think it's out of our price range....

especially with the new siding coming.

Can't put a Med cruise on a home equity loan, can you??? :lmao:

Well, I lived in Germany, but DH and DS have never been. Ex was in the army. I was there 20 years before you, '73 - '75, and again from '77 - '81. That's why I can't donate blood. My youngest DD was born in Frankfurt.

Hey eveyone it is me. Just dropping by to say Hi.

There is no one on the teen board except my brother who is pirating all the tops we try to get, he is just to fast for us.So I'm not going to be on the teen board for a while and see what he does to get a top with actually posting. But me and Kt have a plan to stop him. :teeth: Us saying KT, Nick, and Lisa (me).pirate: He is such a pirate.

Lisa, I wish I could get Caleb to post. He did once or twice a long time ago (hotrodjoe). Maybe I'll try to talk him into it again.

Pass for us, too. As someone said on a main thread - I could cruise the carribean an entire month. I'd consider a "gray haired" cruise on a riverboat or a barge like my parents booked for their 2nd europe cruise on the Seine river this summer. It's 50 cabins and all excursions are included for a bit less than Disney's rates.

I enjoy the Disney experience but, I'd rather branch out a bit if I were to sail in Europe. I never really considered a large ship for Europe - Alaska for that matter, either...

For that cash you could do a heck of a land package, even rent a place in Italy for two weeks. That is what I would like to do, just spend two weeks roaming a country.

The kids' school just announced that the last day Thurs, May 25 will be an early release day...Darn - we could have flown out Thursday afternoon instead of Friday morning - oh well...

Probably no more cruises for us until an Alaskan cruise in a few years. Definitely no Med. cruise. Truthfully, we have no desire to see Europe at this time.:confused3

I ordered the $10 rolling cooler over the weekend (thanks Maria!!), got an email that it had shipped yesterday and it was delivered this afternoon!!! :thumbsup2

It's really nice. Wish I had ordered several more; they'd make good gifts!

Did not know it was out - must mosey along to the main board. I will be back. :confused3

OK - I am back - well, the prices are about what I had anticipated -

HIGH and my DVC points will not be covering them I am sure...to say nothing that DVC points cannot be booked until 11 months out --- so.... as romantic as an Atlantic Crossing is, somethings will remain a dream...

2007 - we will be crusing to Alaska.

And, we have toured Italy by car - no reservations, two weeks of Italien and pensions.....It was fun....

Ok, this program called Andreamosaic was posted on the Craft/cooking/scrapbooking board.

Thought I'd try it out....maybe for Mike for father's day (a big poster size)....

I don't have ALL of our vacation pictures uploaded yet....this was just a trail to see if it was worth it....

what do you think?
