Woohoo!!! My supervisor just came in and said that he's leaving early and that I should too! Guess I'll go home & start on the house cleaning so that we can enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend without me stuck inside cleaning house!!!

The temp is 72 degrees in NY right now at 3:25p.m. Kids are outside in their shorts and t-shirts. Don't worry though, next week's high temps are supposed to be in the 40's. Bring out the coats and hats again. I have almost every window open in my house. It is b-u-tiful. A little cloudy, but warm. I'll take it....for now.

I was going to post this on the W.I.S.H. board but think I'll post here too.

I read in the latest "Family Circle" magazine that those people that had a glass of alcohol with dinner were less likely to be overweight than those who did not. The reason was because it may deter your urge to eat a 2nd helping of food. So Diana, go ahead and have that glass of wine with dinner.

But see, when I have it AFTER dinner, it deters me from dessert. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it! Actually, I have been a dark chocoholic since way before it was fasionable. Kevin should know that.

I am embarrassed to admit it, but I STILL have the unopened bottle of Banfi that the Scuba's brought us at our Christmas party (thanks again)... I have been waiting for the perfect chocolate to open it... now I have the perfect chocolate too, as Ray ordered truffles from my friend (the chocolatier in NH) for my birthday... too bad Ray and I haven't both been home at the same time to enjoy it... so the truffles AND the Banfi are still waiting patiently... maybe tonight we'll actually get to enjoy them!!!!

Truffles aren't bad, but flourless dark chocolate hazelnut cake is HEAVEN. Food & Wine 2004. I'm thinking it would taste pretty good with the chocolate souffle at Palo, too.
