To go back a few years, Charley and I met in a Country & Western nightclub on my 25th Birthday (that will be 20 years ago this summer). We didn't know at the time that our families had known each other when I was younger and lived in the area. For the first few years of dating/marriage, we were out dancing almost every weekend.

Sure don't know how I managed that.

I have had a most busy past 2 days. Yesterday afternoon was parent teacher conferences at the middle school. Ashley is doing well, all A's & high B's. She went down in two subjects, but not significantly. her teachers all love her, so that went really well. Then I had to rush off to the parents meeting for the start of confirmation at church at 5:00, left at 6:15, grabbed a bite and then was back for 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday service. This is one of my most favorite services of the year. So, we didn't get home till about 8:30 last night.

Today was P/T conferences at the high school. That went really well. All of Dale's teachers love him as well. He has the highest grade in the class in 3 of his classes. He has all ap or pre ap classes, along with Latin and Band, so he has a pretty tough schedule. Went and got a blood test, got my hair cut, went grocery shopping, then took both kids back to get hair cuts around 7 tonight. Wheh, I am tired. Think I will go off to bed.

Cool story, Pam. We've always liked Garth's music. I confess to not keeping up with Country these days, since we have quit dancing to it. Carrie sang her hit song on American Idol tonight, and I had never heard it. It was very good though.

I had heard it on the Christian XM channel (The Fish) but had no idea it was Carrie singing it.
I know some girls are dancing to it in KT's ballet recital (1/2 of it is Praise and Worship music) The girls approached the teacher saying they wanted that song and her response was "then coreograph it!" :)

I think the answer to statement #3 can be found in statement #1!!!

There's a LOT of things I can't do now that I could do then!

Ok, heres what thinking about this DCL trip does for me!
My son was pretty sick Monday, we got through it then,
Wed, -yesterday- my car gets hit by a day care bus while waiting in car pool line to pick up my son, :scared:
Lost my MDO from 9:30-2:00 due to the issues of dealing with getting insurance, loaner car, etc.
But tonight I now can  think and say! Its almost the weekend, we are all safe and hopefully healthy now and NOW only a few more months till we CRUISE!!!!!! :worship:
Just wanted to say it!! Feel much better now! :rotfl: ;) :woohoo: :Pinkbounc  :rotfl: :cool1: :hyper: :teeth: :sunny:

Thanks for the Scoopie pics, Mark. I may use the one that says Team Scoopie.

Are we sharing lottery winnings? I want in on THAT pool!

Now I'm thinking my guess for posts is too low, if you all are going to determine your guesses using mathematical wizardry! :wizard:

See, cruising is therapy. It should be a tax deduction under Medical Expenses. :thumbsup2

Ooh, ooh, can we play "How I met my Honey" again? We did this on the 10 day thread, and it was so much fun! It will all be new to me due to my bad memory!

Here's the ones I think I remember:

Mark & Mary met at work.

Stacey & Jay met at a softball game.

Virgil & Frances met at the hospital.

And that would be it. Details to follow, I'm sure. Do I get any points for the above? Now, who wants to guess ours? (HH is disqualified)

You got ours right. Are you sure Mark & Mary met at work? I want to say that you and HH met dancing......yes?

Yes, jay & I met at a softball game. It was a set-up. I was new in town, newly separated, and the girls I worked with at the bank told me that they wanted me to meet this guy who played softball.
I went to the game, and ended up standing next to, and talking half the night to, this really tall, handsome guy. After all the games were over, one of my friends came over and asked me if I wanted to meet Jay. I looked at her kinda funny, and then told her that I had been talking to him all night. She said "That's not Jay!" Darn. Jay was over by his 1959 pickup truck. He wasn't nearly as cute as the guy I had been talking to, but he DID have the cutest dog I'd ever seen. It was love at first sight. For the dog and I. :dog2:

Heading for bed. I was going to go to bed early, but I started working on this:

Another sign for the door.

We still don't know where she got the rubber band story. What we told her is, if the dead bolt is locked...

Dead bolt, rubber band. They don't sound much alike to me.

Well, you finally admitted to having this discussion with her. :thumbsup2

I'm looking for a dive partner/partners for Friday, 3/10 (next Friday). Lisa has a meet in Coral Springs at 1 PM and that is pretty close to Pompano Beach and The Diversity.

The boat leaves at 2 pm for a 2 tank drift dive.

Anyone from South Florida who is trying to get a nitrox dive scheduled interested?

Good Morning All - you were sure chatty yesterday - I leave for the swamps and 10+ pages appear.

It was HOT out, and then the beloved air-in my car broke so I drove home in a sauna --- I was wacked, so it was a quick dinner at the corner pub and bed.......

Off again today....

Are we doing a Dis wine tasting on this trip?
This is on my list - I missed it last trip due to "the High Seas Sway". Also beer tasting - that was fun!

They have Maragarita and Martini - but I will stick to beer and wine, I think!

well, i didn't get glasses cuz i'm getting old. just out of "convenience" so i didn't have to clean my contacts every day (not too sure about long wear ones...they make me nervous) i can still see close very well. no need for bifocals or anything like that....yet. plus, mike HAS to wear glasses after his eye surgery (well, the doc DID clear him to go back to contacts but warned an infection could make him blind in that eye!!! so he's sticking to glasses)

thanks for the encouragement that I'll adjust. actually, i don't THINK mine are kids size, but kt tried them on and they look PERFECT on her....so maybe they slipped in a kid's pair! :lmao:

Continued good luck - my glasses are the kids size as the adult size are too big for my beady eyes! :rotfl2:

I too was given an incorrect prescription and boy was I dizzy....

My cleaner is Amo UltraCare - it comes with a case and you put cleaner in and a tablet, chake and you are done....- other than waiting about 4 hours. The best ever...It costs &10.00 per bottle but well worth it...I have never needed to change lenses with this cleaner because they get old, but do so anyway every 2-4 years....which is bad considering new lenses are so cheap, I really should change every 1-2 years...
