Ooh, ooh, can we play "How I met my Honey" again? We did this on the 10 day thread, and it was so much fun! It will all be new to me due to my bad memory!

Ray was the president of a co-ed fraternity (yes, there IS such a thing)... and I was pledging. I thought he was a total jerk... but it was raining, and he needed a ride to the bar that I was going to (I was going there to meet up with someone else...) it was too crowded, so we never got in... so we went for pizza, talked for 6 hours, and the rest is history.

Ok, heres what thinking about this DCL trip does for me!
My son was pretty sick Monday, we got through it then,
Wed, -yesterday- my car gets hit by a day care bus while waiting in car pool line to pick up my son, :scared:
Lost my MDO from 9:30-2:00 due to the issues of dealing with getting insurance, loaner car, etc.
But tonight I now can  think and say! Its almost the weekend, we are all safe and hopefully healthy now and NOW only a few more months till we CRUISE!!!!!! :worship:
Just wanted to say it!! Feel much better now! :rotfl: ;) :woohoo: :Pinkbounc  :rotfl: :cool1: :hyper: :teeth: :sunny:

Heading for bed. I was going to go to bed early, but I started working on this:

Another sign for the door.
I like that one!! The other cruisers will definitely wonder about that one..... :rotfl:

Good morning everyone,

I see you guys were yappy again last night. I was too tired and had too many things to do to come and chat.

Stacey - how do we copy that Scoopie sign for ourselves? THAT is cute. And how do you change the wording around? Is that a program? I'm definitely NOT computer savvy. Guess I gotta get working on some door signs.

Going to the Dr. today for my annual physical. Time to get yelled at for the weight. I think I'll head over to WW right after my appt.

We got about 5" of snow yesterday. It looks all pretty again. Everything is covered in snow. Yes, I'm happy about it. DH is not. It took him about 2 hours to get home from work yesterday. Usually a 40 minute ride.

OK, gotta go now. Chat with y'all later. Everyone have a great day. It's FRIDAY....kareoke(?) day...Who's got a good one? I can't think.

I'm looking for a dive partner/partners for Friday, 3/10 (next Friday). Lisa has a meet in Coral Springs at 1 PM and that is pretty close to Pompano Beach and The Diversity.

The boat leaves at 2 pm for a 2 tank drift dive.

Anyone from South Florida who is trying to get a nitrox dive scheduled interested?
That was subtle!! :rotfl2:

So, the Readers Digest version is: "I took the jerk for pizza????" :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

No, actually, we usually joke that "I found him wandering aimlessly in the parking lot"

Greetings to all of our fellow Double Scoop Group cruisers. I haven't posted since last year, but I do occasionally read a few posts on this thread. We just made our online reservations this week and the excitement is building again towards our May cruise.

Has anyone had experience with the Glass Bottom Boat excursion at Castaway Cay? We went on a similar one in Grand Cayman many years ago with another cruise line and were a bit dissapointed with how dark the water was through the glass. We were thinking of trying the one at Castaway Cay. Any opinions?

ME TOO!! Can you share it with me? What does that take? Emailing me with it?

Wow - guess our story didn't make much of an impression. I can tell you it wasn't at work since I was a copywriter for Sears at the time and Mark was an auto mechanic.

But I DO remember when you worked for Sears you got to be Pooh bear!!! :) Does that count for anything?

Hi - nice to see you checking in. Can't help with the glass bottom boat question but wanted to let you know we are finalizing plans for buttons and mini-navigators for the group. Full details on the web page. If you and your family are interested drop me a pm.

Cool story, Pam. We've always liked Garth's music. I confess to not keeping up with Country these days, since we have quit dancing to it. Carrie sang her hit song on American Idol tonight, and I had never heard it. It was very good though.

Our Christian radio station plays it often - too much in my opinion. It's terrific she was able to sing it on National Television with the blatant Christian theme.

We did this on our first cruise and were very disappointed. We didn't see many fish, even though the guide threw in oatmeal to attract them. Of course we had just done the Atlantis sub at Coz which we all enjoyed so much. That, and the fact that I was getting sea-sick  on the glass-bottomed boat, made that excursion very forgettable. The only good thing was the great pictures of the Magic from the tour boat.

It's garbage day here, and the only song that came to mind for me was: Artist: Coasters Lyrics
Song: Yakety Yak Lyrics

Take out the papers and the trash
Or you don't get no spendin' cash
If you don't scrub that kitchen floor
You ain't gonna rock and roll no more
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

Just finish cleanin' up your room
Let's see that dust fly with that broom
Get all that garbage out of sight
Or you don't go out Friday night
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

You just put on your coat and hat
And walk yourself to the laundromat
And when you finish doin' that
Bring in the dog and put out the cat
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

Don't you give me no dirty looks
Your father's hip; he knows what cooks
Just tell your hoodlum friend outside
You ain't got time to take a ride
Yakety yak (don't talk back)

Yakety yak, yakety yak
Yakety yak, yakety yak
Yakety yak, yakety yak
Yakety yak, yakety yak

I heard it on the radio for the first time yesterday, then got to see her perform it on IDOL. Very nice song, and she really can sing.

The only place I've ever done a glass bottom boat tour was in Bermuda, and visibility was GREAT! I think it all depends on the water in the area... in Bermuda, the water is always appears to be a very light shade of blue, because the sand below is so reflective...
