I have rollerblades that I too got for a b'day present about 8 years ago from friends and they have never been outside, they did grace my feet so I could walk on the carpet in them!! I also got a mountain bike from DH 12 years ago while I was pregnant with DD and that has never been ridden either!!

My roller blades were on my feet for about 6 times and in the closet for that many years, until I just donated them to make room for dive gear!

hmm - last 1000 took 8 days to reach...so, that would put us at least 36,000 I'm guessing around 37,000 - increasing as we get closer...

Should we make an official pool?

I'm looking for a dive partner/partners for Friday, 3/10 (next Friday). Lisa has a meet in Coral Springs at 1 PM and that is pretty close to Pompano Beach and The Diversity.

The boat leaves at 2 pm for a 2 tank drift dive.

Anyone from South Florida who is trying to get a nitrox dive scheduled interested?

Ok, heres what thinking about this DCL trip does for me!
My son was pretty sick Monday, we got through it then,
Wed, -yesterday- my car gets hit by a day care bus while waiting in car pool line to pick up my son,
Lost my MDO from 9:30-2:00 due to the issues of dealing with getting insurance, loaner car, etc.
But tonight I now can think and say! Its almost the weekend, we are all safe and hopefully healthy now and NOW only a few more months till we CRUISE!!!!!!
Just wanted to say it!! Feel much better now!

Isn't it wonderful how dreaming of our cruise can get you through a bad day! That's why I always keep a two part journal. The back is a traditional journal where I write down the good and the bad of the day. The front is all my notes for our trips and budgets, etc. When I'm having a bad day I write in the back but read the front and it always makes me feel better!

Ooh, ooh, can we play "How I met my Honey" again? We did this on the 10 day thread, and it was so much fun! It will all be new to me due to my bad memory!

Here's the ones I think I remember:

Mark & Mary met at work.

Stacey & Jay met at a softball game.

Virgil & Frances met at the hospital.

And that would be it. Details to follow, I'm sure. Do I get any points for the above? Now, who wants to guess ours? (HH is disqualified)

Wow - guess our story didn't make much of an impression. I can tell you it wasn't at work since I was a copywriter for Sears at the time and Mark was an auto mechanic.

We actually met at a room party for a British sci-fi show called Blake's 7. It was at a sci-fi convention that Mark was attending but I just came for the party with some friends. We then got to know each other online as he joined a local bbs (think a much much smalller local version of the DIS) and then he started hanging out with our group.

We met in Feb. 1999, started dating is August 1999, got engaged in March 2000 (16 years ago yesterday) and married in October 2000.
