We had some light snow today for the second time in a week. No snow all winter, well maybe once, and now that it's spring...it's snowing! That's NM for you.

It was in the 90's the day before yesterday - getting all the "winter clotehs" ready for cleaning --- That means anything with long sleeves :rotfl:

So are you predicting a busy hurricane season this year?

May take after my Mother - Turn off the TV - radio and newspapers and then we will not know!!!!!!

But we both ave new roofs.....

And I should have he estimate any day now for the removal of the remaining dead tree next to the house.

We closed down the park tonight and managed to get some of the packing done. I had to get off my feet & am glad (I guess) that we're going home. I took a really non-graceful spill out of my "Doombuggy" early today, smashed up my knee pretty good & spent the rest of the day in a complimentary wheelchair. Oh goodie. Hurts like the dickens & may need an xray. Double oh goodie.
Love it here...especially since it was warm and sunny today, but I think I've had all the Happy I can have. See ya later......
Happy Birthday Mark!!!

Well, that's no fun.
Hope you are better today.....

You have two children so I don't see what the problem is. Just make sure you reinforce the straps on their back packs.

Or, just have it shipped to the boat. That is what I am thinking of this year, it all depends on how many bottles I have to carry.

You are shipping more than we are - I am thinking of packing a good sturdy BOX with the bottles and bubble wrap and then we can leave the box behind....

GOOD MORNIN ALL

Good Morning All - the piles of papers are now in some type of order but still not done. I cannot leave them alone at night (they make more by the morning).

DH made a perfect dinner - Jumbo shrimp on the grill - actually frill burner as they were cooded with Fosters - chips and salsa and pickles....The last 3 were at my request - perfect for struggling with receipts. Still have 6 months of business travel to input.....oh, such fun....Course, it is not like I did not know April 15 came after March......

Wanted to call for a dive trip this weekend, but was busy at work and did not - know I hear a yucky weekend. We will see......

Everyone have a good day - no playing in rivers, and if playing - then remember to play well with others..... :teeth:

Teeny, tiny birds in the Datura outside of the 'puter window....how sweet. Must remember to fill the bird feeders -- soon they will be gone - back up north for the summer....

Green and yellow birds amidst peachy/pink flower trumpets.

:flower1: Good morning cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Thursday!

Julia - very scray. Glad Adam is ok.

Stacey - yikes! Sorry to hear about your stumble. Hope everything is ok and you get some rest at home.

AI- The bottom three were what I expected. Thought Kevin had a week or two left. My favorite is Taylor. I really like Kathleen and Ace as well.

Did somebody say SUNSHINE?

I use to work for a major corporation where the whole culture was that way. The only thing that matter was the stock price, what did you do for us today. The top producers lasted only 4 years. If you did not make the numbers you were gone, no questions asked.

I left about a year ago and I never looked back. It feels great being out of that environment, especially when I was drinking frozen drinks made by my daughter at my desk today. I hope our home office does not DIS.

Jim, you win. That sounds even worse than where I am.

I plan on not looking back either. I'm going to really enjoy this summer, focusing on spending lots of time with Erin and enjoying myself. For Erin, this will be the first time she's not been in daycare since she was 3 months old! So we're going to make it great!

(The frozen drinks sound good too. Do you think 5 is too young to teach Erin how to use the blender?)

OK, I've been on 2 DCL cruises already, and didn't even know this was POSSIBLE! Jim (my Jim, that is) is a wine geek to the nth degree (a result of our 3 years living in Sonoma County). His specialty is finding really good wines (rated 90+) for under $20. :cool1:

On the past cruises we've gone for the premium wine package (well, last year we cancelled it becuase he couldn't drink) and been relatively happy, but if shipping's an option, he may want to send a few GOOD bottles. But isn't there a rediculously high corkage fee?

OMG... I can't believe that some people are PROUD of stuff like that.

I'm glad you guys are all getting a kick out of the situation. I've been laughing about it for a while. Most people can't believe it. :confused3 But whatever... I'm almost done there!

And about the parole... Well, it sure FEELS like I'm incarcerated when I'm there, so I bet I'll feel free as a bird when they release me!

Several months ago I interviewed with a guy who didn't know what grade his kids were in. I quit my job at the library to go to work for him. I stayed and finished the first week, then went back to the library! It's hard to believe that some people don't value the important things in life.:grouphug:

So this evening DS came to ask me if he could go to our neighbor and I said okay, then DD came to ask and she went, she came home saying they were not there and where was Adam.
He went to friends down in the cul-de-sac and about 1/2 hour later I sent her to go get him and she went out the door and a couple of minutes later came in saying he had fallen in the river!!
I ran out the garage and there was DH with the friends dad from down the road, they were playing by the river - the Chatahoochee is far down from there house and Adam slipped and fell in. Luckily he was not hurt and they managed to get him out he was just soaked from head to toe and freezing!!
He is so lucky there was a parent there as he knows not to go to the river without a parent or I would kill him!!!!
Julia, I'm so glad that everything turned out OK. Hopefully it is something that will never happen again!

NO! I should have stopped reading. I haven't watched it, yet. I have it recorded to watch while I'm on the treadmill the next morning...
I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like the best. Mandisa is a strong singer, I like Elliott, Katherine, Taylor, and Ace. Paris is sweet. Bucky and Kellie can go, and I'm not overly fond of Lisa. Chris just doesn't do my kind of music, but is talented, I guess.

AII like Katherine the best, I just do. I hope she goes far. She needs to let go of some of that control, though, and just flat out sing, because she's got a gorgeous voice.

That's probably why I also like Taylor, because he just flat out sings!

True. Katherine does have a lovely voice. But she does hold it back.

Taylor cracks me up. Sometimes I think he has a bad tic disorder with all that twitching he does. But I do like his voice. Very James Taylor-y.

YIKES! Hope it's not banged up too severely. Hope it just needs some rest (no cooking, no laundry, no cleaning) :)

Glad you had your dose of happy, but also glad you're coming home today. We've missed you around here. :)

Sorry Sandi :guilty: I thought I was safe because it was the next morning. Didn't think about those that taped it. Please forgive me.

Well, I guess I'm here all by myself this morning. We still have 3 foot snow drifts scattered around our yard. I had to make a path for my chickens to get to their water dish yesterday, and had a 2 foot snow bank blocking the door to the shop where their food is kept. Have I mentioned that I HATE snow? DS is lovin' it, though. It's supposed to be back up in the 50's all next week  . Time to start getting out all of the summer clothes to see what will fit and what won't and then start packing!
