Stacey & Mary, I hope you feel better. Sounds like the flu & stomach bug are going around here. Hope we don't get it.

Stacey/Mary -- hope you guys are feeling better soon. Nothing worse than the crud.

OK, I'm up again. Let the festivities begin. Happy hump day everyone. I am going to attempt to start to paint the boys' room today. The Yankee room. All white with navy blue rug. There will be more stuff on those walls that you won't be able to see white. DH found some autographed pictures he had when he was younger of Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle and Don Mattingly. We'll put them in frames and hand them for sure. I don't suppose there's any Yankee fans out there? We also have a life-size cut out of Derek Jeter. I know that's going to scare someone at least once. Probably me!!!

Well, wish me luck. I'll chat with y'all later.

I just read a thread on the main board about a passports error. The lady is from ATL and her passports came from the passport office in New Orleans. Why didn't I check out the passport stuff BEFORE our trip to Louisiana? I knew that mine (expired now) came from the New Orleans office because I got it when I lived there; but, I thought for sure there would be an office here in ATL. I started checking out the info this weekend ... no office in ATL. I went to have lunch with my best friend in downtown New Orleans on that Fri. And she works in the same building as the passport office. I was there!!! We could have all gone downtown & applied in person!!! Oh well.

The kids' passports have expired - we have to wait until Spring break to renew them - the passport office closes at 3:00 - the kids finish school at 3:00...oh well...

Thanks for celectrating in my honor, but I would have stayed at Stonewoods and had their Chocolate Bread Pudding!

We would have, but my dad was diagnosed last year with diabetes... and bread pudding is his ABSOLUTE favorite... so, rather than eat it in front of him, we went to Ritters... where he could enjoy dessert too.

But we don't NEED passports for this trip... correct??? I had no intention of getting them for my kids...

Kiki, I think the passport drop dead date is the end of 2006. Right about when Alicia's expires.

Speaking of which, Alicia is sick too. I thought her allergies just really kicked in, but she might have a sinus infection. Got to call the Dr. She has standardized testing this week too. Not that big a deal, but she usually helps out her school's average on those.

Ang, if I stay up late, I'll help you out. Actually, I had Kevin set the alarm for me to get up last time. And then I couldn't go to sleep, I guess because the alarm was pending!

Diana is correct. There is a short article on the DCL site that says passports will be required starting in late Dec. 2006.

Mary and Stacey, I do wish you a speedy recovery but make sure to get the rest you need. My 12 year old nephew ended up with phemonia last week, that they at first thought was just a bad cold. I have the HEPA running on high as we are also very dry and dusty here.

What a wonderful day, it really feels like spring. The birds are all chirping and the garden is calling out to me. Hope you all have a great day!

Ooops .. sorry ... misunderstood. Our date is Mon., March 13. Don't tell me you'd be insane enough to get up at 3:00 a.m. on a work night when you don't really have too. Or maybe one of the west-coasters could be sweet-talked into staying up late. And while he/she is at it, he/she could make my ressies for me so I don't have to get up. :lmao:

Ang

I would LOVE to do that for you guys!! But you'll have to take my teenagers in exchange. :teeth:

I would have liked to have stayed home today, after all the running to get the computer and all, but it's payday and I think a few guys would be a little put out with me if I didn't go to the office.
Jordan has a late-start day today, so I'm taking her to school first, then to the office, then back here (hopefully) before the cleaning women come to make sure they don't let the dog escape, then getting Jared to the doctor for a physical for the Track team that he joined while I was gone, then he has baseball practice after that. Not quite sure how he plans to run track for the middle school and play baseball at the same time....but...at least they have the "No Pass, No Play" rule, so maybe it will help inspire him to keep his grades up.

I went on DCL's site last night, was going to check in, realized that I don't have Amber's passport number, so I'll have to wait. But I did check to see if anything was available at Palo....nothing...no times open for any meal there. I am guessing that they'll add those the day of the final bookings. I'm still irked about them not letting people call to make reservations, even though it doesn't affect me. It's the principle.

MARY.....sorry you don't feel good! Hope you're feeling better after some rest. Mine is in the sinuses and coughing. My eyes were so blood shot last night, I couldn't believe it. I'm hoping it's not so much a cold as it is just going from moist air to dry air.

Have a great day everyone!!

Nobody around?? Perhaps I can stay and.......

Pam's out there somewhere...so...maybe not.....but....maybeeeee.......

YES! A T.O.P.!! Sharing with Pam :thumbsup2

In case our "techie" boys are curious...this is the new computer:

HP Pavilion a1310n
3700+ AMD Athlon 64 Processor
1.0 GB memory
200 GB hard drive ( which I have learned does no good at all if it is FRIED)
LightScribe DVD +- RW drive Direct Disk labeling
9-in-1 Memory Card reader

And it can copy from disk to disk, without having to download and then copy.

Too bad MY brain isn't as advanced as the computer's brain. :sad1:
