At New York's Kennedy airport today, an individual later discovered to be a public school teacher was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule, and a calculator.

At a morning press conference, Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. The FBI is charging him with carrying weapons of math instruction.

"Al-gebra is a fearsome cult," Gonzalez said. "They desire average solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search for absolute value. They use secret code names like 'x' and 'y' and refer to
themselves as 'unknowns,' but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country.

As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'there are 3 sides to every triangle.'"

When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes."

So is anyone else here a Disney shareholder? We bought Alicia some shares when she was born, the value has increased from $400 to a huge $600 in the past almost 15 years, but the Annual Report is sure fun to browse through. We got it today, it has the cast of POC Dead Man's Chest on the cover.

Are you surprised that we are? I think we own 1 share? Enough to get the "freebies". The report is fun.

I would recycle my old cruise dresses, if they still fit...but they don't. So I have a few newer dresses to wear. I'll do like Mary, and wear a long black skirt and a blouse.

As an Algebra teacher, I didn't find that article funny. Okay, I lied.

HH, this is the site I found about radiant heat chips. Seems easier to do as a retrofit than the other kinds. Also, don't know if this is federal or state, but any home improvement you do in 2006 that will make your house more energy efficient will get you a tax credit (not deduction) up to $500. Cool...

Think I'd need to up my insulation FIRST (it's the floofy stuff, not the roll on stuff) and THEN do this? Looks like I'd need some vents. Right now I just have the shingled/ridge vent which I'm reading are really not that good.

We were for years, but sold them. We also loved getting the annual report. We use to get discounts for stockholders. When that changed, so did we.
