Button Info!


This info will be put up on the website as well. If you want a button and if you want to be in the mini-navigator (might as well kill two birds with one stone). Let me know via pm (we know how fast this thread moves). I don't want to include anyone without their permission (based on some nasty comments from someone not on this thread). If you have a DIS name both your DIS name and regular name will be used. If you don't have a DIS name (ie. you are the spouse or child of a DIS'er) it will just have your first name.

If all the information is correct in the gallery just let me know that. If you aren't in the gallery or want something different let me know that as well.

The buttons & mini-navigators are our gift to you. Only two things we require/request.

Required - we must have a stateroom number for you. That way if you don't make the meet we can drop the buttons off.

Request - that you wear the buttons as much as possible during the week. Most of us wear them on lanyards that hold our KTTW cards. It is a great way to identify your fellow DISers. Of course you don't have to wear it in the pool or on formal night.

Are you sure it should be free? I don't want you to absord the cost...I booked early, so I have a few bucks left over.

Susan - no worries on the cost. We've done buttons for the last two Member Cruises and for the 10 day. We also did them for Member Homecoming. We do them for a couple of reasons.

I haven't been to a high school reunion yet (not that I haven't HAD any, mind you...this year will be the 20th) I would go if I could guarantee that my friends would be there....the ones from the yearbook staff andthe science club. I'm avoiding it b/c I fear that all the jocks and cheerleaders will be there and they didn't give me the time of day in high school, why would they 20 yrs later?

The ONLY reunion I went to was my 20th. It was probably the "thinnest" year of my life. Being another one who never went to the Prom....yes, hard to believe, I know....but anyway, it was sooooo much fun to go to the reunion all skinny and pretty, and find out that the football players were fat and bald...and most of the cheerleaders looked....well, let's say they looked a little "worn".

Or, even worse will it be like vacationing with relatives (or Stacey's last group cruise...)- by the end of the week - you don't want to be associated with that group...

Speaking of that cruise, I just got an e-mail this morning about this year's cruise. They're doing the Mexican Riviera...and I actually would have gone...even if all we did was stay on the ship and lounge.....at least it's a short flight.....but it sails the same day as the 11 night Moms Only cruise. Like there's a big choice to make there! Sail with GOOD friends or sail with FREAKS.

Are you guys planning to stay at the port following breakfast? I was thinking we may want to have breakfast around 8:30...that way we would not have to spend sooo much idle time at the port.

Avis opens @ 7:30.

We won't be idle....we're going to PAR-TY!! The best part is seeing other people's faces, when we are all laughing, talking, hugging....they all can't figure out if we are the world's largest family reunion, or what!!

Don't worry, it won't be me babbing this afternoon - Taking Maggie to a teammate's house at 12:15 so, she can be sure to make her 2:00 game. Mike has a 12:40 game - the schedulers only put 10 minutes in between games - and at the u11 age group they stop the clock for fouls, turn-overs ect...so, by 12:00 the games are running about 1 hr behind...

So, maggie and the clipboard with line-ups and stats are being dropped off for to so, the team mom gets promoted for the day into my position...and my co-coach will run the show because I doubt I"ll make Maggie's game.

So, you're thinking that we will wake the teen up early for breakfast that morning? Good luck with that!

From what I hear, the kids that actually go to prom/dances with a date are in the minority these days. They say it's much more fun to go with friends! Since my HS junior Mr. Popularity/Baseball Star nephew is the one that told me this, I kind of believe it. So I hope DD has fun tonight. We're taking DD and BFF to dinner so we can get pictures, since they're getting dressed at her house.
