Has anyone been watching the Google search page. They are using a different Olympic logo and the "l" is the torch....kinda cool!

Mary - I have tried to post the Stingray - and cannot seem to do this.

(Doesn't bode well for my work with the dive computer tonight does it?)

I tried [IMG...../IMG][IMG......./IMG]

But they come out like

Alps

....................... Stingray City

It's COLD out here today. I'm off to work. I'm thinking of someplace warm, surrounded by beach. I'll drop in again sometime when she leaves the door unlocked. :woohoo:

A few thoughts on the shirts and then I'll shut up.

First the 10 day shirts were more expensive than these are quoted as being. GaRry can probably correct any mistakes I make and anyone is free to go back and search for the specifics on the thread itself. Make-up of the shirts was a follows:

A color shirt was picked because of the design on the back. We wanted something that would be used as water around the islands.

Design on the back was 4 color

Design on the front was one color and was embroidered.

Names were also added on (where requested) the front in embroidery.

As for the May shirts. Ash was picked by the majority because it is one of two base colors and was thought to be better than white.

While I think a front logo only would look good on the polo shirts I think it is a bit underwhelming on the t-shirts. If we want to stay we just a few colors I suggest we do more of a concert t-shirt look on the back. Here is just an example:

Again this is just a suggestion. I'd be very happy to have someone else come up with designs. BTW - I just added a quick grey background to show you what this would look like.

edited to add: I think the one thing I would add is after the Blabbermouth line....aka The Double Scoop Group!

Maria & Pam - final decision will be yours. Thanks for all your hard work on this.

Irene does it come out like that in the preview box or on your actual signature. On the preview box for me it isn't on the same line but when I come to an actual post it is. Sorry can't help further than that.

I agree that it's hard to list the ports on there, not knowing about Cozumel yet.

If we only have 3 colors for the four "scoops" then are we making the two "Castaway Cay" (top and bottom) scoops the same color?

Or.....what if....(am I making you nuts yet??).......what if we had our DIS name on the front (pocket-area) and the cone on the back?

The thing we have to remember is that black is a color too. So when you are talking two colors you are talking black and one color.

Here is what the cone would look like in 2 colors. I used DIS green for the Castaway Cay scoops. Actually I think this works pretty well as making them pop. I would prefer a 3rd color of say cream or beige to make the cone and the middle scoops a color (grey ice cream doesn't excite me). :teeth:

Mary - I like the tour list.

And if black is a colour then I think we need 3 colors.

Must dash for a meeting.

Nitrox class tonight....

OK, Mary I love the back design..the one with the ports and/or the scoop. The problem that was brought to our attention was that with a design on the back, you have to account for smaller sized shirts. You can have it on the back of "adult" shirts, but it is too big for kids shirts. To have it sized down is another screen and another charge. Like I said before, I don't care HOW much the shirts cost, I'm getting them. But it may be a problem for someone else and then we may lose orders.

Mary, do you remember approximately how much the shirts were for the 10-day? Did you have only Polos? What did you do with the kids' shirts?

I feel that we should definitely go with at least 3-colors. And what she was saying with the 3-colors is that she will shade them differently so in essence we are getting 6-colors. Do you follow? So, say we went with black, red, and beige. The red could be made into different shades of red, black, beige. The concentration of dots together on the shirt would be different. It's hard to explain like this. I wish I could record my voice. It's easier to "talk" instead of writing for me.

Anybody wanna chime in.

Maria - I can't remember how much the shirts were. Hopefully GaRry will remember or as i said anyone is welcome to search through the 26,000 posts to find the info.

I'm also thinking that we had the same size back for everyone. The design shown above was 8 1/2 x 11 which would fit even on a child's t-shirt (it would just take a lot more space than on an adults). For the infant shirt Vicki did for Bear she just did the embroidered logo on the front and nothing on the back.

Maria,

You're doing a good job of 'splaining! :thumbsup2 I think most of us feel like you do -- cost isn't the deciding factor as these will be souvenirs we'll cherish :cloud9:

And, again, you're doing a wonderful job of getting this organized. Thanks to you and Pam for all the hard work. :worship:

I agree that cost isn't the deciding factor for us. I know the shirts we got for the Member Cruise cost less than our 10 day ones but they weren't half as nice. They were ash with the logo only on the back and nothing on the front. Boring! Even though we had lanyards and the buttons for the cruise itself they aren't something I would like to wear much because the front is so plain.

Mary I love the Concert Tour idea...The scoops I vote for at least 3 colors...possibly another it still looks kinda bland

Hi, Amanda!! How's the weather over there in Columbus? We're supposed to be cold and rainy here through Monday. That's 2 weekends in a row. Cruising the Caribbean never sounded better!! :goodvibes

Thank you for putting all this together!!!!

concert theme on the back - I especially like the disclaimer....

Maria, I understand your shading explanation perfectly...so, either you were clear or my befuddled brain is on the same wavelength ;) I'm sticking with a clear explanation!

Pricing isn't a big factor - I'd rather have a special limited edition t-shirt than a "been there done that" mass produced shirt...
