HAY ALL
Okay heres my story,
My little sister was killed in a car wreck in '76, to help others I started giving blood. In 1984 I became a firefighter, 86 - 88 I took the shots for Hepatitis. Sept. 23, '89 we had a fire in a warehouse with aluminum and vinyl stored in it , (it was the day after my son was born so I remember the date). There was 3 of us that were treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation & cyanide toxicity during the fire. A few others were treated too. Of the 3, I have liver problems, 1 has bad lungs, 1 retired with bad kidneys, of the others treated that day, 1 retired with liver problems and he sees the same transplant team as I do. The ED that treated me has NO record of me being treated that night, & there is NO accident report of us go to the hospital that night. The smoke from this same fire damage the chrome and paint on a couple of the fire trucks.
A few years later the red cross told me I could not give blood anymore with NO explanation why. About the same time I started to have lots of itching & look a bit yellow (jaundice) my family doctor sent me to a specialist, -> liver enzymes are way off, started me on a lot of pills that were supposed to help. Didn't really help so... then to a gastroenterologist who did a liver biopsy and treated me with lots more pills, still got worse the itching and the fatigue, and yellow. Then.... to the transplant doctor and more pills,
Now the transplant Dr. changed my pills again and does not think it will help so he will start paper work for the transplant list next visit end of June,
SO everyone on my last cruise who thought I was mad or unsociable when I just left the dinner table with out saying anything THIS was why . I was just so fatigued A few knew the problem I had. I just wanted too have a nice cruise and to enjoy it. Not having cruisers all worried about me every time I wanted MORE COFFEE, I have NOTHING anyone has to worry about catching. I still like hugs, chit chatting, COFFEE, and lots of chocolate!!!!
The doctors have a couple of names for what I have one says it is Primary Biliary Cirrhosis the other Auto-Immune Cholangiopathy. Anyone that is A- and doesn't need their liver give me a call. That is anyone but StaCey. I don't mind talking about it just DON'T feel SORRY for me.
The Doctors cannot tell me when , where ,how why, I have this just that ITS NOT JOB RELATED ???????
So I'm hoping this answers a lot of ????? Anyone might have????? But ask away if you have any.
