Hmm, let me checketh that out to see if it's something we'd like to do.

For Costa Maya, we've contacted a guy about taking us out in a boat to snorkel. If that doesn't pan out, then we may just go to Mahajual and find a piece of beach to claim.
If my kids were younger, I would probably just hang at the pier area, because it looks like it would be a really nice area, with the swimming pools and good restaurants. Or we'd maybe do the Jungle Beach Break at Uvero Beach. Sounds like they have a lot of water toys and fun things to do there. They also give you the choice of returning to the ship/pier whenever you want to...you don't have to stay all day.

Thanks for the suggestions! And the link that someone showed also.. will definitely check those out! I don't want to end up just going and doing NOTHING at each port (again we're not shoppers- so just walking around with the kids doing shopping is NOT our idea of fun... nada.. no fun at all. none. LOL)

Is jungle beach break something we can book thru DCL or some other company?

If anyone is interested in a Mayan Ruins tour in Costa Maya..you might want to check out this web site: http://www.chacchobenruins.com I found it by looking on the Cruise Critics site. Everyone RAVES about this tour there! I just booked it for my DD and myself today. They don't even require a deposit to book it. You have to pay in cash when you get there...but for only $43/pp it seems like a good deal!! They say it might take them a day or two to get back to you about confirming the ressie...but when I booked this morning..I had a confirmation back in less than 5 min. Maybe I was lucky and caught them while the were at the computer

Very interesting... but I don't see anywhere anything about an age -so I assume any age can come?
the hour drive each way is what is making me hesitate.... yanno?
And you have to pay a fee to use your video camcorder or tripod with your camera? Anything to make money eh? LOL

Hi, Mike. We've booked with David and Ivan, also, but we are doing the Mayan Experience that includes the ruins tour and then lunch with a local family at the Mayan village. It took awhile to hear back from Ivan, and when I did he had us listed for Thurs., Dec. 29th! I e-mailed him back on Jan. 30th for a confirmation of the correct date and have not heard back. I guess I'll try to get a confirmation in the next couple of months. I imagine they are busy with all of the rave reviews they have been getting.

Mary, can I come? I wish I lived closer. I REALLY want to get into scrapbooking, but don't have anyone to do it with. I just started getting into stamping. I went to my 1st Stampin Up party a couple of weeks ago and I just got my stuff. Very excited.



Is it possible to have a scrapbooking class on the cruise? What would we have to bring, etc? I would help. Let me know.

I had to get up EARLY to be at the Y for 5:30 a.m. to attempt to register the girls for the next round of swimming lessons. I got Emily in this time but could not get Ashley in. She's wait-listed.

I'm mystery reader for Emily's class today. Each week they have a parent read to the class. We have to submit clues to the teacher so the kids can try to guess if it's their parent. I'll have lunch with Emily afterward.

Hi Sue - we're right there with you. I can't wait for the SNOW!! We haven't had a GOOD snowstorm yet. I like it cause it's going to be on the weekend when a lot of people don't have to go anywhere. Maybe go sledding with the kids. Yeah!!!! How much are you guys supposed to get? They're talking about anywhere from 8-12" for us. I hope it's the 12...I know, I'm crazy.

Stace - We would love to do this excursion, but I have a 6 year old that's a little afraid of the water. Would you suggest it? If he could wear a life jacket or something like that, I think he would do it. Could you tell me a little more about it? Could you stay on the Catamaran if you wanted to? Are you held up by the salt water? Thanks for your help.

When we were on the 10 day one of the girls ran a scrapbooking class. She packed an entire suitcase full of supplies! She also did one on the Member Cruise. I'm still very new at it so wouldn't be a good one to be teaching. Plus most of my scrapbooking is more digital than traditional style.

Ya know, I was just looking at the cruise kit and maybe we will do the Stingray Adventure on Sunday and get his feet wet, so to speak, about snorkeling and then on the 2nd CC we'll do the Catamaran.

I guess I'll have to book both and if he doesn't want to go on the Catamaran, I'm sure I could find someone to fill the spots.
