Speaking of no life....my parents just left. We cooked them dinner and watch my growing up family videos with them. It was fun to hear them tell all the old stories. 2 hours of family videos has driven me to Port. ;)

It's a take-off of the Marine Corp slogan.

What makes me wonder about the child being handed over the fence in Hong Kong.....why was the kid NOT with his/her parents in the first place??? I couldn't imagine a situation where I got that (far) separated from one of mine.

I haven't read the article but I thought the same thing, if the child is small enough to be pasted over the crowd and fence he should have been holding on to the parents, there is no way mine would have been left alone in the crowd!!

Why don't use the Esnipe service? Put your bid out there and let them bid it for you with only 10 seconds to go. I love it!

Inquiring minds want to know...what are YOU bidding on? Something to do with scuba is my bet.

So Stacey, did you win? Now I want to see it too! Last thing I won was several sets of fabric markers. Alicia is turning her neon green Coverses into wearable art. Kind of hoping she will find a way to make some money!

We just got home from the shower...it was fun. No games with the men there, but a lot of laughs.

I did win the ring...I'll see if I can post it. You really ARE good, Ohminnie...that was me that you found. And eBay is one of the few places where I don't use justmestace.

Wow, you guys have been busy today. I have been gone all day. Had to go to the office for a few hours, then raced home to pick up the boys (hubby & son) to go to Las Cruces for the afternoon with MIL. After her bad fall last summer where she broke her arm and her hip, she had decided to sell her house and move into a retirement village. She wanted us to see it. She was planning on moving this summer, but while we were there today, they had the apartment she wanted open up and will be available by mid-March. So, we have lots to do to get her packed up and ready to move. Between Charley's brother and sister, we are all dividing up some of her bigger things. It was so sad to go back to her house and start looking at the things she would not be able to take with her.

Ashley left early yesterday morning for an instructional band camp in the mountains and just got home tonight. She is wiped out. We have an afternoon swim meet tomorrow and I would prefer to scratch it, but she really wants to swim. She normally swims in the morning sessions, but this is the first meet of the year that the 11-12's are swimming in the afternoon. Hubby is not to happy because of the super bowl. Oh well -- wish us luck

Charley and I take turns with the kids. I usually take DJ to school early (we leave by 6:45 a.m.) and let him drive and then I go on to work. I try to be there by 7:30 a.m. 2 days a week I try to leave work early so that I can get Ashley to a different swim practice. The other 2 days, Charley is home by 4:30 and he takes her to the pool closer to our house. This last week, was my turn to drive to middle school, so he left early with DJ and I did the taxi run (we are in a car pool) I usually go straight from work to the pool. She gets out of practice about 6:40 and then we come home. Charley usually does the cooking because he gets home earlier. This last week, I didn't even get away from work until at least 6. I think we do a good job of taking turns with the kids.

Sorry, but nothing right now. I try not to shop anywhere, Ebay included. But now that you mention it, I will have to take a tour out there for some stuff.
