I hope I don't have any of those kinds of dreams, but you know what? I know I will. My 2 boys are going to be moving into OUR old bedroom and I have to get that moving cause I'm going to need the spare room to START PACKING. WAahhoooo!!!!!

Maria, I think we ALL have those dreams/nightmares at some point prior to the cruise. That's why our "lists" are so important to us!!! ::yes::

Safe travels, Angie! :sunny: pixiedust:

My parents are leaving on March 18... their room will become vacation HQ on March 19!!!!
I can't start packing too much until I see what size clothes we will all fit into. DS has been growing like a weed. Might just have to do some shopping in a couple of months and then do some 'power packing'. I've been making my excel list and checkin' it twice

Ditto! My DS 11 will also be thrilled!

Hi Everyone! Sooo glad to hear about the boys!! My son is very excited! Last May, on the Wonder, he was still recovering from surgery and was a little reluctant to get in the "mix". He had epilepsy surgery and had a big scar on his head...I think he was just self-conscious. Anyway, this will be very different for him (heck, for all of us!). Last trip, big sis was by his side...this time she will be with the teen group! :crazy2: Needless to say...I'm excited for him!

THanks again for the "welcome".

PS - I love your post name.....

My adopted younger brother has had the same surgery as your son, all be it at a much later age in life. Please tell your son, we are thinking and praying for him...and while kids can sometimes be a bit cruel about those you are different, your son has such an exciting future ahead, now that the surgery has taken place......

Now, which of the Disney characters can he relate to? Who on the thread is better at trivia than I am....

Maybe he is practicing for pirate night... pirate:

When we were there in September they were very organized now I need to call to book our shuttle.

Ask for Bridgette - she seems to be the one that will book the shuttles further out. The first person I spoke with wouldn't book it.

I have never used Priceline. Always been concerned about not picking my hotel. Has that ever been an issue for you? Has the savings been worth it?

Jim - I love Priceline. I only book the higher end hotels (4* and up) and have never been disappointed. We have gotten the Marriot 3 X ranging in price from $45 - $60 (normal is over $100 a night) We have gotten the Gaylord Palms for ($78 a night - that is a steal) and I have gotten the Hilton in Downtown Disney for $42 a night and that was during the heavy spring travel. I have not been disappointed at all. We have also booked resorts in other cities like Tucson and Phoenix for weekend getaways and they were great. All in All I am very pleased with Priceline.

Maria - I have checked my PM's and I don't have a new one from you. I do have your phone number. I expect that Valerie will be here around noon my time, which is 2 your time.

Talk to you later,

Pam

Thanks for sharing..It hurts my heart hearing about someone else's struggles pixiedust: but, it is nice to know you are not alone.

I agree, we've never gotten a bad deal with Priceline. The 3* and above hotels at the airport are all about the same, too. There are occasional cities where you have to be careful if you have a family, because they are only obligated to give you a room with ONE bed, but it has never been a problem in Orlando.

I'm taking Elizabeth and 4 friends to Busch Gardens in Tampa next Saturday... wanna take my place??? (Love BG... hate the thought of the drive with five 11 & 12 year old girls!!!!!)

You are more than welcome to join us. We have to be at St. Pete at 7:30 so will have to leave about 5 am. I don't know to many girls that are wide awake at that time of the morning.

Just wait until they are 15 & 16.....it only gets worse. Sorry.

Is it a busy time for the girls, Jim or Sharon?

Yes, they are both in the middle of Competition Season. I am guessing Kelly lives there as much as Lisa which is approximately 20 hours per week + meets + sometimes Saturday practices ( if no meet) + pictures this weeked.

And - to top off Lisa weekend coming up - She needs to be at the High School for a Band Solo & Ensemble Rating Session. She plays the flute and this will be her first time to be "evaluated". This must start once they are in Middle School. I am sure the Band Parents on this thread can clue me in on what to expect.

Glad I'm not the only one... mine started a few weeks ago... though now with Scuba wanting to buy a new vehicle, maybe in my NEXT nightmare, all the Scubas and all the Pugs WON'T be crammed into Sharon's Beetle!!!

That sounds like my reality on Tuesday. I expected to have my two kids and a girl I usually drive home. It's tight with the four of us, but it works for a short drive. However, on Tuesday another girl (15) followed us out and said "I'm sorry but my Mom is in Orlando and I need a ride home" So, all three girls were stuffed in the back seat (thank goodness they are gymnasts and small) and Matt with all of his sparring gear from Karate was in the front. The trunk (which is small too) was crammed with three girls book bags, etc.

Speaking of mmmmmmmmmmmm

i just had a BEAUTIFUL lunch....

one tomato...sliced
on top of that, thin slices of fresh mozzarella (i found it in the cheese section, in a container, packed with water...it's a lot softer than regular mozzarella)
sprinkled with dry basil (wanted fresh, but store didn't have it)
drizzled with olive oil.

it felt so gourmet to eat that for lunch at home and not on a cruise or something. :)
