BBB - She wants "hard" numbers for the reason that you stated. The more we get, the lower the price. You said that the smallest size was a 6/7, right? According to their sizes that would be a Child Small. The 7/8 - child Med, 12/14 - child Large. And NO, I won't order until the price is posted on the board and everyone OKs it.

Maria

She can wear some 6/7.. if it's a pretty good amount of cotton I can shrink it up. she can wear some size 6... I think I said 6/7 would be okay if that's all they had- but she DOES still wear XXS in Disney shirts (if anyone is familiar with their sizes that gives you an idea of her size)- she wears size XS in their pajamas also. It really depends on the sizing... but if I can shrink it, small should be okay. She's a short little toot. ;) If size 5 or 5/6 is Xsmall (if they have that) I might need to go with that for her. I don't mind a little big and/or trying to shrink things but down to her knees or below that is not going to be a cool shirt (or worn by her on this trip IOW) LOL

If 12/14 is what she said child large is- that's cool for my oldest too... if she's sure that's the size child large really is. Like in the small/med/large sizing my daughter gets shirts from running in races- or school shirts/etc. their idea of child large is big enough to fit ME and actually says 14/16 or sometimes 16/18 on the tags (and obviously run big to fit ME because I'm not normally a child size although my top half is considerably smaller than my big ole hiney area LOL). So she usually gets child med (and they are still big with room to grow) when she runs the races or in school shirts. Child large when all they have is small/med/large usually means large it's the next size down from adult small--- and if that is the case, it's not really size 12/14... it's really like 16/18 and will be way too huge for her. She's kinda short too and thin- if it's really 16 or bigger- it will swallow her. So I guess I'm saying- did she say 12/14 is large or did you just think that's about what large is?

*yes I know I'm rambling and hope you know how much I appreciate you doing this for us!* Names are not a big deal to us... I'd rather not do names. I can pass down these shirts from kid to kid and get more wear out of them. LOL I mean these are gender neutral and usually anything gender neutral I either don't label at all or I just put R.S. ... why? Because that's the same initials for all 3 of them and it can be passed down. LOL

I just booked REAS! Anyone else doing that for this trip? I finally bit the bullet and did it because it seems nice for a little "extra" something in the room plus rainforest taken care of AND because now I know our rotation/dining time I can book Palo and hopefully get one of the days/times most desirable for us... and with REAS I can book those things at 105 days out (instead of waiting until 75 days out) which btw is this SATURDAY! That means what- just over a week before we're in double digits? Wow!

Ack. What happened to the Child 10/12 size?
7/8 is too little
12/14 they will swim in!

Can you check on that, Maria?

I'm worried that medium is really 10/12 and will swallow my little man.
My Ruby usually wears size 10/12 in the shirts I buy for her... medium in the ones that are ordered/given for the races, school shirts and such and then are just a tad big. My son wears small in Disney shirts... see what little toots I'm dealing with here? LOL
(don't even get me started on Disney shorts... my kids are still able to wear size XXS for Rita, XS for Robert, SMALL for Ruby... she's 12. I had difficulty getting them the right sizes for our last trip last summer... had to do some returning and reordering because those shorts were HUGE! LOL You should see the adult Large I got for Jeff... he's by no means thin and those things swallow him! LOL I had to go with Medium... he never wears medium shorts. LOL)

I'm about this close to just getting polos for Jeff and myself and forget the kids shirts. Too much hassle for Maria on this sizing business. LOL I don't want to be a pain to her!

OK, I've been sitting at this computer since the kids got on the bus....

Here's the size info that is on the website (I will post this at the end):

These are KIDS sizes only:
XS(2-4), S(6-8), M(10-12), L(14-16), XL(18-20)

I guess I goofed about the Medium. Thanks for catching that. It was late and I guess I was tired. Sorry about that.

The kids T's are Hanes Beefy T's. We have to choose 50/50 or 100% cotton. The 100% are going to be more money.

The website: apparelart.com. Check it out for yourself. I don't know what kind of shirts the Disney uses. Sizes look about the same.

Get back to me about the 50/50 or 100%.

Thanks.

Actually, I do have some connections to Hollywood. The best man at our wedding is married to a woman who went to school with (and did a lot of college theater with) Jennifer Garner. We have it on good authority that they have already chosen the name. The baby will be named "Arm." :lmao: :lmao:

And you know this because?

Oh, that's right! Brad and Ben both used to date Gwyneth! I'm sure they're all best friends.

Irene, so sorry to hear about your dear friend Bruce. Will be praying for your family and his.

If you go to this website, you can find the measurements for these t-shirts. It's given under "specifications". If it says it measures 18" across, it will fit someone that's a bit less than 36" around the chest and upper hips. It gives lengths, too.

Not a problem! I just figured if those were the right sizes, my kids wouldn't get any. This way they can have shirts.

I like the 50/50 because then the size you get is the size they will be after the first washing. :)

but that, honestly, is where my "connection" stops. The *point* of the post was that they were naming their kid Arm...

Arm Pitt....

:lmao:

nevermind. too much caffiene today me thinks!

Yeah, I've heard the story that you found out about the shark dive after the fact - when you saw the pictures. You are a much more forgiving woman than I am. Jim's a lucky guy.

Yeah, I got it. But my point is, if you play the six degrees of separation game, you're connected to Brad Pitt! (Best Man, JG's college friend, JG, Ben Affleck, Gwyn Paltrow, BRAD!)

I've probably had too much caffiene today, too. And no food yet.

Most of the "women's" t-shirts that you order like that run too small, for me anyway.

BBB....my husband and I are getting polo's and just t-shirts for the kids. The kids won't wear them very often after the cruise and the polo's are too expensive to waste $$$ on them!

That was exactly our thought process. So Polos for the adults and T's for the kids.

I'm more concerned for the sharks than Matt. You never know when the kid will get hungry and see a meal swimming in front of him and go for it. :lmao:

NO, NO, NO. A little correction is needed here.

We told her we were going on a shark dive BEFORE the event. She may not have understood what that meant, but we told her about it before hand!!!

Oh and what's this about Mark's pins I heard mentioned? Do I need to contact someone to be able to purchase these also?

Mary's husband Mark does the buttons. Just make sure she has your screen name your real name and if the rest of your family would like buttons. If they don't post, they tend to say NAME - Husband of YOUR SCREEN NAME. I found it VERY helpful on the last cruise when people wore there buttons so I could keep track of who was who. THANKS MARK!!!!

Yes, I put Lisa down for a Child's Large because lately at the gym meets - childs large is a 10/12. Her "normal" size is a children's 7, so if you think that means a childs medium, please go with that. WHATEVER - I am just happy that you are handling this Maria - THANKS!!
