Morning everyone. Hubby asked if I could make his lunch today. Actually I offered last night(to make his lunch ya know). I think I was just about sleeping when I opened my big mouth. Oh well, I'll get an early start with all the things I need to do today. Getting a hair cut. I need one badly. Haven't gotten one since right before Thanksgiving. Not good.

OK, time to wake the little one, Anthony, up. My big guy, AJ, is already up. ELA testing today for him. Anthony is a little tougher to wake up. Especially with the flannel sheets I put on their beds. I can't say I don't blame him. That's one reason I'm afraid to put them on my bed. Too toasty. I know, I know, most of you have your A/C on. Phewy on you. Actually, it's been a relatively warm winter so far. For lower NY anyway.

I won't bore you any longer. Have a great day.

No A/C for us - still beautiful weather - but we are having another cold snap this weekend....May drop into the 40"s.....

I know, I know, most of you have your A/C on. Phewy on you.

No, but it IS great to be sleeping with the sliders in the bedroom open again! Listening to the fountain and the frogs... a great way to fall asleep!! Sure beats listening to the heat turn on and off all night... that was last week when it was cold.

I know. My uncle, who lives in FL, used to call my mother in the winter and just hum on the phone and ask, "what am I"? You're boiler.. Yeah, he was funny. I don't mind. Now we have a fireplace and it is great to sit in front of if and get mesmerized. It's just a regular old fireplace....not one for heat, just ambiance. I had one growing up and am loving it.

It's a warm one again today. They're calling for rain though. Most of the snow is gone. Oh well....

Now we have a fireplace and it is great to sit in front of if and get mesmerized. It's just a regular old fireplace....not one for heat, just ambiance. I had one growing up and am loving it.

I miss my fireplace so much!!! That's one thing that I have not adjusted to in almost 3 years... we could put one in, but I know it wouldn't get much use... it's just too warm. So we settle for the fire bowl out by the pool... its not the same, but it will have to do.

I'll sacrifice the fireplace for the bonus of NOT having the endless months of needing to use it!!!!

When my sister & BIL moved to FL and built their house, they had a fireplace put in. I'm not sure they EVER use it.

We have a drizzly rain here in GA this morning. My new black SUV is going to look awful! We're still very warm but are expecting a cold snap this weekend. The folks on the radio were saying that The Farmers Almanac said that February would be very COLD.

We have one of those, too. We love it in the spring/summer/fall. We bring it up the street and have a fire in the cul-de-sac and all the kids make s'mores. It's a lot of fun.
