I don't think they have mandatory automatic tipping, it may be an option. I wouldn't do it, and I don't like it when it's mandatory. I think you get much better service if you tip AFTER the fact.

We loved not having to tip with Radisson, but than service was excellant.

OK - let out a GASP!!!! I don't have GPS in my car, yet..... Frances has it in her Pacifica, but the Audi doesn't have it.... I've been looking at the TomTom Go 700 - I really want the Bluetooth phone integration, but hate another add on. I'm not going to be buying a new car anytime soon - so I'll probably take the plunge... (Of course Frances wanted me to take the Pacifica since it was easier for Kristin to drive - but she did fine with the Audi....)

I'm just speechless....There are some things in life you just take for granted....Virgil having a GPS was one of them. :confused3

And nobody had to sleep in the closet... though there was probably enough room to!

That's right. I was a good boy and did not get in trouble. Sharon did not send me to the closet on that trip. :goodvibes

Now there have been other times.....

I had to pick up DH from the eye dr. after having one eye corrected (lasik). I came home to work from home only to find out my VPN token has expired. So, no longing on to the servers at work for me! There's not much I can really do at this point. Do I hear my bed calling me for a nap???

Stacey,

Thanks for all of the info and pictures.

A girl at work returned over the weekend from a 5-day cruise to Costa Maya and Cozumel. They went out of Tampa. I can't remember which cruise line (RCI, maybe). She said that Costa Maya didn't look like it got hit by the hurricane but that Cozumel was definitely a mess. But that they still enjoyed their stop at the port anyway.

We definitely enjoyed Cozumel anyway. The water was so clear, I was amazed. And they have fixed up enough of the main drag that there was plenty of shopping, and plenty of restaurants.

The MAJOR idea of this NCL cruise was to have it be cheaper than DCL...and it was. The 2nd thing was the ports, and those were fantastic. I think all the way around, we still got our money's worth and them some.

A couple more pics of Cozumel..... this is the smallest Fat Tuesday I've ever seen :

Stacey,

Again, great pics!

As far as Fat Tuesday, it says that it's a New Orleans original. But, I can't think of a single one IN New Orleans. I do remember going to one around Destin one time. I just went to their website. They are called Daquiris in New Orleans but am pretty sure they don't serve food (or maybe it's just that we were there for drinkin' & not for eatin').

I think there's something ALIVE in that bed! LOL I had forgotten she was IN it when I took the picture.

The foot of the bed touched the desk on the other end.

Another shot of those outside stairs. This one is in the back of the ship, the other was in the front.

Gotta be a thrill to go down that set of steps when the ship is moving. Wouldn't need a theme park!

Ang...I noticed that sign, too and wondered if there really was one in N.O.

Once you get used to those steps, it's kind of cool. I have a confession, though....I never did walk up or down them and LOOK OUT at the ocean at the same time! I was looking at my feet, to make sure that Madame Clumsy didn't trip and fall!!
I did STOP and look.
And, like I said, we were really lucky that the sea was verrrrry calm!

Really? Was that one of the cuises that the stops were cancelled due to weather?

It was our first DC on the Magic and we went there the first day to see where a storm was going, we then went to St Thomas and skipped St Martin and then spent our last day there as scheduled, they sent us surveys asking what we thought about going there twice.

Well, I guess you liked it! My scuba diving DH is not so sure about this trip, but getting to dive in Cozumel makes up for a lot. The teen scuba dives, but she's all for a DCL cruise, doesn't matter where it's going!
