Seas were 8-10 today - so needless to say - dive was called off. Out next trip is to a lake - I need to practice up and down...or is that down and up....

So, church, decorating for Halloween, buying the proverbial candy for the Trip to DC from neigbours kid - and now it is off to dinner.

Decided to let the garden win for now.... :rotfl2:

Stacey are you going to check in on us from your cruise?

Most definitely! I have to do my "comparison" report! ;) I already know that they don't have as good a package deal on their internet usage as DCL does....darn it. But I'm going for it, anyway. I think we're only 12 days from leaving now. 13 to the cruise date. Still don't believe it.....but I am very glad that I have the toiletries and extra junk packed.

Still haven't sat and read through all the pages I missed here.

I needed to make some space (read: cleaning out dining room drawers) so I've been doing that between loads of clothes. Why do we feel the need to keep every piece of paper, every note.....every everything?? I had piles of left-over Christmas cards from the last four - five years. What did I think I was going to do with them??
And I thought Jay was the pack-rat in the family! What a mess.

Anyway, in just browsing the thread, I see I missed some good MIL talk, and Mom talk. Darn. Will have to wait till the subject comes up again to add my fun stories to that!!

Caught up reading.

JB's sounds fun...and good....wish we had the time to get there a day early. No can do. School ends on Friday, we are flying to MCO and staying there.

My mother doesn't bother with "If you possibly could....." she just doles out her list of demands.

Jared hasn't ever worn pants to school. The only pants he had were for the cruises. There's a very short time in the winter where he would wear the pants that unzipped into shorts....leave in the morning with them as pants, come home with them as shorts. But this year, apparently the jeans from Hollister and American Eagle are "really cool"....so he wants to not only wear long pants, but jeans...which he has never, ever worn.

Bummer! However, that is the COOL :cool1: thing about Florida. Lots of options!!

Don't worry it WILL!! :earseek:

I've been lurking for a while on another board...at the thread for the Princess cruise. We'll be cruising on Halloween, so they are talking about costumes. No costumes for me..... so I need a clever response in case someone asks me where my costume is. I know that at least one of you can come up with something. ::yes::

It's hard to tell, because not many people post on that other board, but it doesn't look like there will be very many kids on that cruise. It will be interesting.....

We are home from F&W. It's amazing how long just a two day stay at WDW can feel.

First, let me say congratulations to OH on OSU. That was a good game. We enjoyed watching it at All Sprts Cafe.

Sharon and I did not make it to Wishes on Saturday night after eating at Yachtman's Steak House. The kids made it. We were in bed when they rolled in at midnight.

Today was F&W. This year nothing really stood out as best of show. Everything was good, but nothing really great. The cheese soup in Canada was probably the best food. We did have a Banfi look alike. I'll post a picture with details tomorrow.

While at the Florida exhibit I did pick up a bottle of the pina colada wine. Not for me, but for Diana. Kevin can bring it back with him in December.

Time to catch up on the posts.

Hey Jim... sounds like a money making proposition if you ask me! Let's see... how many DIS'ers, times... what's the holiday weekend rate for a mod?...

Your right, maybe enough to pay for the cruise. Pool house sleeps 4, two tents, hammock.....

Once you get off the boat the seas don't make any difference...:sunny:

The springs are a great place to practice up and down.

I hope I'm not too late to join this thread! I know we're coming in late in the game, but we've decided to book this cruise - there isn't much availability left!!!! We have a Category 8 stateroom "on hold" right now - plan to put the deposit down tomorrow. It'll be me, DH, and DD12 (Tori) and this will be our 2nd Magic cruise!!!

I got the best price I think we'll be able to secure through Cruise Value Center. We checked with DU but this other place was able to beat the DU price by $325. Does this sound OK to y'all?

Thanks!

You're not too late til the ship pulls away from the port...

Welcome! We're a talkative bunch (as you can probably see by the number of posts with 32 weeks to go)... don't try to catch up... just jump in. We talk about cruise stuff, non-cruise stuff, Disney stuff, non-Disney stuff, and even what's for dinner.

You can 'meet' us all if you click on the link in Mary's (WDWLVR) sig. Send her your info, and she'll add you to the list.

As for me, this is our first DCL cruise, but I've been chatting with this crazy bunch since we booked last November... it's me, DH, DD11 and DS8.

Don't be shy... we're a bit  , but we have fun here!

Hmm.. lets see... by May, my parents will be gone again, (so that's a queen bed in the guest room) a trundle bed in Christopher's room, sleeper sofa, couch in the living room, pool float, lawn chairs... cruise AND bar tab will be paid for!!

Hey... where is everyone tonight???? I'm sitting here at the R/C in Sarasota... formal dinner is over, not in the mood to hang at the bar and watch football... ready to sit here and DIS for awhile, (despite the VERY short network cable and no wireless connection... and this at a 5 star hotel????)... and no one is here!!:guilty: Guess I'll watch Desparate Housewives...

What a nice guy!!
Maybe Diana will believe me now. :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

Thanks for the welcome! I wouldn't even think of trying to read thru this thread - I can see you all are a chatty bunch!!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mary and her husband this past June in WDW. It was brief, but fun! We met for Project X - at the Illuminations Dessert Party. "Hi, Mary!!"

I'm still wondering if anyone has any feelings - good or bad - about using a wholesaler to book the cruise. They seem reputable and I'm leaning toward putting any fears aside. They're giving me a stateroom # and all and I did see one thread "cruisevalue rocks!" The only downside I can see is that they will charge a $75 per person fee if you cancel.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Welcome Laura!! Jump on in, the water is NICE!!!

Well, lookee at that!! A TOP shared with Laura!!

I've booked cruises through TA's, directly through cruise lines, and through places like Yahoo & Expedia... I've yet to have a bad experience with any of them, but haven't gone the wholesaler route. (No reason for 'not' going with one, just haven't done it before).

Welcome! My only thought would be to check with Dana first. She may be able to match or even beat cruise value price. I use Dana for all my cruise bookings and she has beaten the lowest price I was quoted every time. Her website is www.*********** but call the number on the webpage. If she can not beat the price, she may be able to shed some light on the wholesaler. HTH

Hey Amanda... are you packed and ready to go??? Wish I had time to get over to F&W with you this weekend, but I can't do it without the kids :guilty: . Ray is working all weekend. Double :guilty: :guilty: .

ok EVERYONE, PRE CRUISE SWAP I need a true count of anyone who is interested, to know if this is something we can do or not. Please PM with your name and address if you want to particpate. Please know that it would only be a limit of $5- $10...and we will decide on a theme once I get a better idea if anyone else wants to particpate, and maybe I am just nuts? ANywho, Stace and SUe No need I still ahve your PM's..it may just be a 3 person swap! HAHA
