KT is actually LIKING math this year. It's been a struggle for several years, but Pre-Algebra seems to have her interested. She says it's more like doing a puzzle than doing math. Whew!

Since when does -20=20? Well, if he's set on believing that, offer him 20 to do some chore around the house...."Hey, I'll give you $20 to take out the trash..."

PSYCHE....it's NEGATIVE $20
....since they are the same, he shouldn't complain!

We tend not to do big gifts for each other, but I always try to get something for her. That way she won't think I forgot.

Besides, it gives me an excuse to say "Honey, for my anniversary gift I want this new toy. Do you want me to just go get it for you"?

Works every time.

Yucky day for us here, I picked the kids up and the sitter tells me Nate has had an explosive day, if ya catch my drift...sigh..he is 2 and not potty trained yet..we are working on that...but I thought,once we got home, I would beat him to the punch and set him on the toilet. I let him sit for a good while, with no results, and it never fails, within 5 mins of putting his pull up back on, he goes....bless his little heart. SO, I am giving him only apple juice to drink and toast and jello to eat....he is so mad at me right now....I hope this goes away for him.

Caleb has ASKED to go back to Sylvan for extra math help so he doesn't get so far behind in 5th grade. He last went in January, but we got tired of the drive twice a week. But they're opening up a Decatur center; we'd only have to drive 15 miles instead of the 40 miles to Champaign. He's already got an appointment for a re-test to see where he's going to be placed. A friend from church had her daughter ask her to go back to Sylvan for reading help, too. They must be doing something right for the kids to ASK to go there.

No Sirrius here. I've been listening to it for years on the internet.

In fact, I don't like the schedule since they went to Sirrius. I miss Feets at Five on Friday mornings and Live from New Orleans at 4 PM which always started with Tequila.

That was a great way to kick off Friday afternoons.

I'm proud of DS. He rode his bike more than half-way home from the library; over 4 of the 7 miles, and it's in the 80's outside, still. That's quite an accomplishment for him (and probably more than I could do). I followed him in the van until his butt hurt too much to go on.

SO, I am giving him only apple juice to drink and toast and jello to eat....he is so mad at me right now....I hope this goes away for him.

Stay away from the apple juice. That's actually what we give kids who are constipated.
White grape juice is better.

No milk.
No butter on the toast.
Bananas.
Applesauce.
